Family owned B&B with a bar below. Wonderful service, great food and great Irish music at night. Wonderful atmosphere and in the heart of town.

Once we found O'Donnabhains' we just kept going back! It was all about the ambience - good singers and simple pub food. We miss it now that we are home.

Great location, friendly staff. Food and drinks were both great. Only quibble was that first floor rooms can hear some bar noise, but we planned ahead with white noise so it was no problem.

Not a good experience. Arrived for food about 8pm. Got a table fairly promptly and ordered food. Was told I'd have to pay extra for a small side salad and chips which are normally served with this dish.Pie had large uncooked lumps of mince in it.Husband ordered an assorted seafood dish.The tiny potatoes in it were hard, most of the mussels were unopened and the only shrimp was undercooked. Overall the meal was not good and very expensive for the quality of food that was served.

We stayed here 3 nights while exploring Kerry, and we were surprised how quiet it was for being above a pub! The breakfast in the morning was great, and we always had friendly service. The food downstairs at the pub was also amazing, and they have some great local beers as well! The only downsides for us were the street parking, which got a bit competitive in the middle of tourist season, and the bed was not very comfortable.

We stopped in for a bite to eat after a trip on the Ring of Kerry. The staff was very friendly! It good was great! I had the bangers and mash, and we also had the spaghetti and the potatoes. All dishes were good. I have had better bangers elsewhere, but they were certainly passable. Everything else was delicious.

We went for a couple pints, walked around to find another pub to eat,and ended up back at O Donnabhains. Good food and great vibe. Nice servers as well!

Overall a pretty good experience with a few hangups. We booked well in advance. When we were waiting to check in another couple in front of us were looking for a room. They ended up getting a larger room than us for 20 euro less than we paid. When we asked why our pre-booked price was higher and if we could have a discount (the other couple haggled their price down) we were brushed off. Second, our double bed was just two singles pushed together and they weren't level which was uncomfortable. Other than that the accommodations were nice.

Staff was very friendly and the food was exceptional. The beef stew was great and the fish and chips were close to perfect. The sea bass was lacking a little flavor though

Great guesthouse right above a singing pub operated by friendly and kind people who will take care of you every step on the way. Start your day of sightseeing with a wonderful breakfast. Return at night to an Irish stew and a song in their bar.
