Just back from a 3 night stay,our family room was great, large and in a quite part of the hotel and we enjoyed the pool with the 3 kid's, also the quality of the breakfasts and dinners we had were top drawer, however. We were disappointed with the general attitude of the staff,on the 2nd day we had to request the room be serviced 3 times before it was done and twice the following day,also not once did a staff member initiate a conversion such as a did you enjoy you're meal/is there anything else I can get you?,they merely did their job in a polite manor but were absolutely disinterested in the service element,considering how friendly the locals in Tullow were in comparisons it was very disappointing (hotel staff were local Irish mostly),overall stay was fine but we won't be back.

Nice surroundings. Stayed in a suite. Hall took up have the space so more of a large room than a suite. Air Conditioning not working properly. Appalling approach to service, meals delivered separately, wine came late in main course.

Myself and my wife are just back from a 2 night stay on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2016, before our stay we checked out reviews for Mount Wolsey many of which were very negative, but from the day we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our request for a nice quiet room was catered for immediately, we had previously booked for our evening meal for 7pm and we were not disappointed, we opted for the fish cakes for starters our main course was steak for myself and duo of pork for my wife followed by 2 delicious desserts, our waiter was a very friendly chap who chatted to us and explained all our options to us. All in all a very pleasant experience. The leisure facilities were equally as good with friendly staff one of who advised me of the best exercise to do in the pool for a back injury I have, he spent some time with us and made sure I was happy before he left to give a group of kids some swimming lessons. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mount Wolsey for a stay and I must commend the staff for a job well done. We will be back.

Whilst Mount Wolseley is a stunning place, inside and out , and I did enjoy an event there, the problem I had was with the service. They didn't ask anyone how they liked their steaks at the wedding (except the top wedding table) and my steak was really pink I do not like rare meat, but we weren't asked. Also their dessert was measly in size. I was very hungry! Also their tea tastes disgusting it was milky hot water with a weird taste. Other than those 2 issues, it was a nice place and fabulously decorated.
