Lovely gardens. It was lovely and peaceful. And we even got videos of some cute hares and the beautiful peacock and peahen. They also have a cute coffee shop on site too.

What a place! A stunningly kept estate and gardens by the OPW. A must see for only €2 car parking.

Brilliant place for strolling through the gardens and exploring the hidden trails. Even better on a nice sunny day. Well worth a visit. Just off the N80 Carlow to Bunclody road

The house is in rack and ruin . The state of Ireland doesn't care about the "English"homes which are architectural gems,,,there is no cafe on the premises, 2 euros to park. the forge nearby is barely sufficient. the gardens are worth a visit. there are no guides or any one about to share the history.

Many Sunday afternoons of my childhood were spent here visiting the gardens and seeing them change with the seasons.
Peacocks on the lawns were so beautiful.
