Great bar and the live music was outstanding! I'm not sure the name of the band that plays Monday nights but they can rock- they did back to back songs from Queen and played them perfectly! The whole place was singing along, so much fun!

Excellent service, very relaxed casual atmosphere, suitably Irish. Live band in the evenings singing well-known Irish songs, good singers, too! Great food and excellent prices! What more can one ask for in a restaurant! 😀

LOVE this bar. I can't say enough good things. They have great food, great service, great beers and whiskey and great live music. I believe they have live Irish music every night.
We were in town two days and came here both days because we loved it so much. Such a cool bar with so much history and old memorabilia.response / report this review -

What a fantastic night!
We were looking for a good place to eat and listen to Irish music, and this seemed like a good choice. The pub was quite full when we arrived, so we were asked to wait at the bar as a table would be available soon, and it was ready in about two minutes. Very good, thoughtful service, nice choice of dishes and drinks. We went for a house special and chicken fettucine. Both dishes were delicious and really well served! We shared the cheesecake of the day to follow, and it was also very nice. The band playing just made the place even more special and typically Irish. An amazing food!! I absolutely will come back. The place is really nice and the staff were perfect. There was music during our dinning and it's perfect for a beer. I love this place!!

Bright welcoming building across the river. Easy walk from anywhere in town. We sat on the second floor with a window overlooking the water and castle. Listened to live music. Loved our meal. Delicious food with good sized portions. Enjoyed dessert too- recommend the apple pie with warm custard poured over it.

Food was fantastic. And staff were so nice. Definitely would try it as you are in for a good nite of music food and fun. If you are looking for a table to eat. I would advice to get a upstairs table next to window as the view is lovely. As you will see from my photos

The music was GREAT, the drinks were good, the food wasn't bad. My wife had the warm goat cheese salad and she enjoyed it. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which only comes well done because of the mad cow disease scare a few years back. If you're American and like your burgers Medium/Medium Rare Order a steak instead. We were there for the Irish music which went from 6:30-9, which was really the best part of the experience. The waiter we had was nice but it seemed like he had too many tables to handle and we felt neglected. He dropped off our food and ran away before I could ask him for ketchup. I tried to get his attention unsuccessfully and ended up needing to walk up to the bar to get ketchup myself. There was no midmeal check-in to ask if we needed anything and it wasn't until after we were both done eating that he finally came back. I was leaning towards 3 stars but my wife really enjoyed her salad and the music was great so I bumped it up to a 4.

Great place to eat & listen to some Irish music with friends or family. We went as a family of 4 and had a lovely time. Strongly recommend the Goat cheese salad. Kids were amused by the painting of a moving man :)

Great pup all around. Fantastic food. I had a vegetarian option and it was wonderful. Music here nightly and it was all great. I would come here again when I am in Kilkenny!

Modern styled Irish pub. Average in all sense of the word, which is not neccesarily a bad thing. You know what you're getting when you walk in there standard pub fare, standard pints, provided with standard service in a standard looking establishment. Nothing to write home about at all but a grand spot for a few pints.

4 people in different towns recommended this bar/eatery so we figured it was worth checking out. The service was fast and friendly. The food arrived quickly and was served hot. Quality was good. The beer was cold and the live music was lively and did not know our eardrums out which was nice.
The ambiance here is like a casual local place. Patrons all were having a good time and I bet you will too. Bring your friends or make some new ones.response / report this review
