Despite the negative reviews I found this place to be clean, tidy and spot on tbh. Hot water was in an abundance and the room was clean. All I was looking really.

Absolutely disgraceful service no one in the hotel when I turned up at 11 , I had rang several months previously to request an early check in , which I understood couldn't be guaranteed , but they neglected to mention there would be nobody there on the day itself , rang number continually for an hour and a half no answer ( hotel next door rang also very helpful ) eventually they called back while I was at a wedding saying they didn't start work until 2pm!

A treasured pair of earrings fell behind a big gap between the bed board and the wall. This was very poor workmanship for the very high standard of accommodation that is usual for Kilkenny. I contacted the management on numerous occasions but nothing was done. On arrival collecting keys is very difficult too as no official reception point. Room was very cold and had to get fan heater.
