We stayed at Kathleen's for 4 nights and loved it. She is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She could answer any question and goes the extra mile. Beautiful B&B, superb rooms, extremely clean, very comfortable beds and spacious bathroomslovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This was a nice little hotel in a great location. Kathleen, the owner, is cheery and exceptionally personable. She gladly gave us all kinds of good advice on our sight-seeing. We had 5 in our group and she called everybody by name the entire two days we were there. The rooms are basic but a good value. Breakfast was awesome. Easy, free parking and close to town. I would definitely return.

On arrival we were made very welcome, Kathleen will move heaven and earth to make sure your stay is all you require including where to go and how to get there, book trips, give restaurant advice etc,
We had a wonderful week, staff were great and breakfast was always first class, rooms spotless, what more could you ask for.
Would highly recommend Kathleen's Country House. Thanks Kathleen for making us feel important as you do with all your guests, lovely Irish lady.

This is not a B&B but rather a hotel without any hotel facilities, located on the main highway a few minutes out of Killarney - so a car is necessary (there is plenty of parking).

Kathleen's "advice" upon arrival was interesting. We were travelling as a couple with a 2 year old, and upon arrival we were greeted with "you should have called to tell me that you had a child - I am going to have to put you in a different part of the house so as that you don't disturb any other guests." Apparently 2 year olds are uncontrollable, and we could not guarantee that she wouldn't cry all night.

We were then advised us against driving the Skellig Ring (which was the best part of the entire trip) due to the fact that it would be too much for our child, and then it was suggested that we have dinner at the local 5 star resort where we could "share the plate of Scampi and the child could eat the bread rolls which are free". This was apparently going to cost "as much as eating anywhere in town". We arrived there to find that the cost of a burger was in excess of what we ended up spending on a meal for the three of us in town.

The rooms are well appointed, and very clean, but a little small. Breakfast was not included in the rather pricey room rate. If you are looking for the classic Irish B&B experience, then you would be better served finding an actual B&B.
