It’s a clean hostel but all wood floors and old buildings make the noise amplified all day. Our door automatically closes and slams every time anyone entered or exits. (Grrrr) The breakfast is cold cereal, granola or toast. And coffee or OJ. It’s inefficient to get around the kitchen especially when it’s packed in the mornings.
The location is great. It’s off main streets but close to everything. We walked back along the water at 1:30 am from Temple Bar with no problems.
The basement is a cool area with lots of couches, a lounge area, a book exchange, a pool table and laundry.
I don’t imagine I’d stay here again or recommend it.

Probably the best hostel in the Dublin city with vibrant environment and rockstar staff who are always welcoming and ready to help you out.

Very old property but excellently maintened. Have 24 x7 reception, recreational areas, a small business lounge kind of space for business travelers, sauna bath and much more.

Offers light but very good breakfast too. almost all attractions are walkable from here.( If you like walking or else you can hire bike from the hostel).

Nice place with simple hostel furnishings — there's no storage lockers in the rooms, Jessy beds, but every room and floor is access controlled. Breakfast was juice, milk, or a hot drink and toast with jam and butter. Simple but sufficient. Common room had a great atmosphere, which we good for meeting others.

The location couldn't be beat. The staff was upbeat, personable and offered great tips for sights and transportation around Dublin. The breakfast was a plus, and the coffee wasn't half bad. I'd stay again and recommend to anyone wanting a no frills economically priced place to stay.

Great as far as hostels go. However you may have some bad room mates. First night was great. Second night a couple guys smelled like they hadn't showered in weeks. Guys at desk offered to move us if needed but we just touched it out. Maybe if they had soap in showers and towels, people would be more likely to bathe.

Isaacs hostel is a lovely, friendly hostel situated in central Dublin with very clean and well looked after facilities. The rooms are large and the beds are nice and comfy however the rooms have been a bit too warm at night. The kitchen facilities are excellent and there's a great underground relaxing area

The staff is very polite and helpful. In evenings there are always massive gatherings of the other visitors and you can get some drinks together or join others where ever they might be leaving to. Beds and rooms were also pretty clean and good but who ist doing more than sleeping in a hostel room anyway?

Good hostel. Price-Value is okay and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a bike rent, free 3h Tour through Dublin, and a Pub Crawl every night. Doors are secured by access cards, granting access only to the floor and rooms you're allowed to. There's a sauna (free, didn't use), pool table and pong table. Overall my stay was great. The breakfast is just toast, jam and butter, or cereals so don't expect too much.

I don't know if it is also the case for smaller rooms, but for large dormitories, the size is ridiculous. We were a group in a dormitory for 8 people and we were packed like sardines. Moreover, there is definitely a problem with the heating. We couldn't sleep at night, or hardly. I did not have the opportunity to test the sauna, but I guess the heat in our room was enough.
There's also a problem with the cards for the room, because every night at least one of us had to go to the reception because her card was not working anymore.
And you should change the cleaning hours. What's the point in cleaning the bathroom at 8:30am when everybody has finished breakfast and wants to wash their teeth? Suddenly I don't know...

Great hostel. Fantastic location, really enjoyed our stay. The facilities are good and staff really friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the Hostel's walking tour in the morning. Will definitely be returning :-)

Definitely a great place to stay for the price, staff were lovely. Only issue was it's beside the train tracks (recommend ear plugs) and the showers are on timers, which is great for the environment, but terrible for trying to shower as a girl with lots of hair. But would recommend it!

Good backpackers hostel, big shared kitchen with fridges for guests to store their own food and communal tables in the lobby to sit in before a night out. Few showers and toilets per floor but generally pretty clean. Biggest downside is not having a safe in the room/ lack of outlets in accessible places. There are small safes available for €2 in the lobby and big luggage lockers for the same price in the basement. Good for groups.
