Was recommended to stay at the Grand National Hotel in Ballina as I was visiting a client a stones throw away so the location was ideal.
The hotel offers good value for money and McShane's Bar & Bistro offered a pleasant atmosphere with friendly members of staff.
The food was fantastic and cooked to order.
The room however was basic and the decor a little tired for almost 2018 but for the money, I can't really complain too much.
Will be staying again in the future.
Spent two wonderful nights here with my wife and two girls. The staff were extremely helpful with any requests we had. The family room was large and comfortable. The leisure centre was clean and yet again the staff were great. Had dinner both nights and even though there was a function on one night and a wedding the next the staff took their time making sure we were happy. We will return.
Great leisure facilities, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food. Would definitely recommend
We stayed here with our two year old son and it was ideal. He loves swimming so were in the pool every day. Staff very friendly, breakfast buffet was superb and room was big and kept very clean.
Great location. Just out of town. I
I have been working in Ballina between two and three days per week for the past couple of months and the Ballina Manor has become my hotel of choice in the town. Good value, very clean and good facilities. It's one downside is that it is approx 1km from the town but as I travel by car that isn't an issue for me.
Class hotel defiantly go there again. Dinner an breakfast hit the spot. Room was clean spacious. Lovely large reception area for chilling an people watching. 9/10. Only one suggestion, could someone please change the in-house music three days of jazz music morning noon and night is too much.
Popped in for a business meetup. Lovely hotel with professional, courteous staff, good coffee too :)
Nice bar area and large function room for events and weddings. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food could have been a bit better though.
I would take off 1/2 a star, if I could, because they have a spa that doesn't actually stay open for it's posted hours. No massages for us.
Hotel itself is fantastic. Modern rooms, great restaurant (which is great since you're not within walking distance of anything else), huge car park, easy access, and decent wifi.
I had the pleasure of spending five wonderful days at the Great National with my wife in February 2017. The food together with the courteous and attentive staff was five star
Friendly , clean & good bar food
Good location great food friendly service on the main road into town
Good value. Some of the rooms could do with a refresh. Very helpful and friendly staff.
