Cute little village to stop by for some hearty Irish Soup and homemade bread. Beach is lovely and clean and unspoilt !

The views coming to the village are splendid !
The beach/stand nearby is very nice and spacious.
The centre itself is very cute and perfect for pictures lovers because of the rustic/traditional look !

We went for lunch break in the cafe behind, absolutely recommend it ! Great portions and very friendly staff. Very easy going, good value.

In its 50th year this place is a wee historical gem. Tea rooms serving traditional bakes and refreshments with a craft shop. Can cater for large tour groups. Accross the road from the local beach with stunning views, kids love this place. Tourist information point.

It was very interesting to see the way the old fishermen and their families used to live in this village. It was eye-opening to see the poor health conditions of the time.

A very interesting place to visit to get a insight for how people lived in the past. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable in answering questions. Folk Village is not far from Slieve League and the Silver Strand at Malinbeg which are also well worth a visit to make for a very enjoyable day trip.

What a gem, small but perfectly formed. So lovely, so much information and so much detail and so well laid out and tells a great story. And what a setting, lovely beautiful cove and area. If you are in the vicinity at all its worth the trip. I'd even say worth the drive up from Sligo, hit Slieve League before or after and you will have a magical day.
