Lovely b&b that gives you a good feel of Ireland. Very nice hosts who make you feel at home and best salmon omelette for breakfast.

This was my favorite accommodation in a nearly two-week trip with a different city nearly every day. It was everything one could expect out of a B&B. The owners (who are mentioned in other reviews) greeted us at the door and knew that we were Americans coming to visit. The room was spacious and comfy, with plenty of furnishings, including a tea set and easy chair. The TV was small and in a weird location but got good reception. My only real complaint was that the shower had an in-line water heater that was clunky and difficult to use, at least for this American. It was hard to get a consistent water temperature. Everything else, though, was exemplary. The view out the window was pleasant and unblocked. The bed was comfortable with plenty of covers. We were so relaxed we took a nap right after checking in. The amenities were great. The wi-fi password was on the door, and there was a welcome book with restaurants, places of worship, and attractions. The breakfast was outstanding. We didn't have much time to stay and eat, but we could have had several pounds of food that was among the best we had in Ireland and the UK. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and we got to chat with some German travelers in the dining room. The owners drove us the very short distance to the train station and would have picked us up if we'd asked. I was extremely happy with my experience at Friary View and would gladly stay here again. It was very sad to leave it behind after only a day. Oh, and there were three different signs leading from the center of town to the building. It was so easy to find!
