Best food in Clifden. Best to make reservations. White table cloth service but very reasonably priced.

A fantastic family run hotel on the doorstep of Clifden. A warm greeting from the moment you walk in the door, the eclectic evening music drawing you into Mullarkeys Bar or the full Irish breakfast every morning showing off Irish hospitality at it's best. Take a seat in the cosy armchairs in the lobby and enjoy watching the day go by

Excellent, tasty and one of the best restaurants I have been in in sometime. The smell in the reception area of the hotel is a little offputting when you first arrive, we booked our table early but when we returned the smell had abated, We believe the smell may have been due to Lilly's that were in a vase near the entrance? There were seven of us and we had five completely different meals all excellent, I had the pork belly which was tender and tasty others had duck, steak and two different types of fish no complaints. Service was quick and efficient. Starter main course and desert all gorgeous. €175 for the seven of us although some deserts were shared because we were just too full :-). 9 out of 10. Lost one point for un-defined smell in Hotel reception area. Book before you go if you have a big group. Two sittings 6 and 8 o'clock. Will definitely be going back.
