I have worked 50 years with the Foyle Family. On Tuesday June 6th they organised a surprise party at Rosleague Manor to celebrate.
We arrived there at 1.30 to find my family, friends and people I worked with down through the years out on the lawn to greet me in brilliant
sunshine. The food was out of this world and the staff were great.
Mark did a wonderful job with the help of his two brothers Jason and Stephen. Rosleague is an ideal location for any party.

Two great friends of mine had their wedding reception here recently and it is a magical place to celebrate. Both the location (with a beautiful view of Connemara) and the hotel itself are stunning, and the wedding feast was delicious! They even managed to rustle up a perfectly ripe avocado out of nowhere to make me a dairy-free starter, and proper chocolate mousse - dairy free - was one of the dessert options! Other lactose intolerants like myself will understand the significance (and joy) of this detail. The staff worked really hard to make sure everything was right for the guests, and even my friends' dog was made welcome. The hotel building is beautiful, old and luxurious (not a hint of shabbiness or tackiness in the slightest), with fascinating paintings, botanical illustrations, plates and historical photographs all around the walls. The conservatory was my favourite feature, and looked so pretty at night with fairy lights. It was also a great place for dancing til the early hours! The hotel is very close to Connemara National Park. I highly recommend it for a short/long holiday or another wedding reception. Please invite me!
