The pint of Guinness was very good.
The pub has it's own microbrewery and has a lot of it's own locally produced beers and ales the atmosphere is nice there is a beer garden and a smoking shelter outside which has heating and TV
Googled pub friendly pubs and this one came up with great reviews. Even the campsite we were on recommended this pub. 5.30 walked in 4 adults 2 children not a sole in the place and asked if it was ok to bring our extremely calm dog in. You will have to ask the Germans sat outside if they are ok with it.
I walked outside and the Germans were sat smoking. Fuming that the bar staff would rather have 2 children sit in a smoking area than let a very calm and friendly dog in an empty bar.
Walked over to Sean ogs and asked if I could bring the dog inside no problem. Ordered drinks and sat down. Went for a second round and the hound lady behind the bar said I thought you wanted to bring your dog in that is how well behaved she is she wasn't even noticed.
I don't even want to give 1 star but can't leave a review with out putting something.
Your bar was empty you don't serve food my dog is well behaved probably more so than some of your human guests
