Took my family for Sunday brunch. Food was tasty and plentiful (breakfast & main).

Manager / senior staff seemed gruff (felt like my family and I were unwelcome, but may have just been a misinterpretation), but the service staff were very nice.

€28 for the three of us.

Looking at listings and reviews narrowed down the choices for our one night stay in Tralee. Once we strolled around and looked at our shortlist the combination of elegant surroundings and a varied and interesting menu made this our choice.
We called in and asked for a specific table which was available. The waiter noted our choice and then offered an alternative which we realised was a better option. Going the extra mile was an attitude that permeated this restaurant.
Having earlier declined the early bird menu which looked great value we were pleased at the range of dishes on the shortish la carte menu. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco as an aperitif and to accompany our starters. The wine was excellent and fairly priced, as was the red which again came from a shortish but varied list.
A smoked chicken salad and a smoked fish soup were well balanced and full of flavor. Mains of pork belly and a duo of roast and rack of lamb showed what can be achieved with wonderful ingredients and a talented chef.
We felt obliged to at least taste one of the desserts and the deconstructed trifle again demonstrated a sound knowledge of how individual elements should be prepared.
Great service, truly wonderful food and a modest bill all added up to a great night out.
We now have a reason to return to Tralee.

We had a fabulous meal in Denny Lane 2 weeks ago. The Surf and Turf was special was gorgeous! Fabulous food, great atmosphere and very affordable. We'll definitely be back.
