Top quality service, thanks to the excellent Mr Murray and his team and to all at Aghadoe ward who made the whole experience as stress free and comfortable as possible.

Worst hospital experience in my life! Some of the staff very rude, Total incompetence ! After asking me about a hundred times what medicines I am allergic to they accidentally gave em to me anyways. I was immobilised in a bed by the A/E entrance for three days! And when I had to go to the restroom they gave me a basin and said do it right here! Left the hospital and was transported to cork hospital a world of a difference.

I was there for about 6 weeks with a brain tumour. Doctors, therapists, nurses and catering staff were excellent. I would highly recommend this place.

The Hospital delivers excellent care with the resources available. A+E is usually swamped with patients but according to how unwell you are; you may be seen immediately (heart attack, stroke, etc.) or you will wait if you are likely not that sick (vomiting, stomach pains, infection, small injuries). It is important to understand that everyone is seen according to urgency. If it's busy and 2 heart attacks and a stroke arrive, yes, you will wait with your fever and vomiting for many hours. The hospital has CT-scanner, MRI, Ultrasound, an interventional radiologist, who can put in drains and long term iv-lines. Currently there are general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics, psychiatry, general internal medicine, with sub-specialists in Geriatrics, Rheumatology, Gastro-Enterology. Cardiologist visits once weekly only. Once weekly Neurologist. Once weekly Renal specialist. There is a dialysis unit and endoscopy unit. A helipad is there for urgent transfers. Palliative medicine consultant is available here too. Overall a hospital that punches well above it's weight!

My experience was poor.i came in at 5am and was the only person waiting and i still gave 5 and a half hours waiting what a joke.

Overall, not a great experience. A nurse was bossing me about and you have to wait forever. The rest of the staff were ok but there wasn't even any wifi there but there is in the Cork hospital, which is where I'm from.

This morning I unfortunately had to be rushed into A and E as I was balling my eyes out I was in agony all over my body, I had thrown up blood and had a severe migraine amongst a lot of other symptoms, I was given three painkillers in the waiting room and no more then minutes after I had taken them I threw them back up into a sick bag, my friend knocked on the nurses door to inform her and was told she would be out soon to check on me she had been extremely rude and fobbed me off that I just have a bad headache and a flu and asked me why I was in A and E , the gp who will remain unnamed then saw to me and her "evaluation" was to simply tap her hands on my forehead and dig her hands aggressively into my stomach asking me did it hurt when I told her it did and she could see the pain on my face as well as hear me tell her she was hurting me she continued in her aggressive manner to poke and prod my stomach, she had neglected to properly check me and the fact I had just thrown up , she refused to give me a letter to say I had been in A and E and didn't even give me a letter of discharge . No samples were taken and I was treated appallingly. The on campus nurse who had said I needed to attend the hospital was also very confused as to how I was discharged given no prescription and not even evaluated properly. I am physically unable to move from bed and I have only gotten progressively worst . Never in my life have I been more annoyed at how I was cared for in a place that is meant to be helping people. Doctors visit in the morning to actually get me sorted out but now there is a long night ahead of me while I can't sleep and continue to be in agony with pain killers that aren't strong enough to take away my pain . Pissed off isn't the word.

Disgusting use of 2 security staff men , to stop new mother from leaving hospital with her baby after being told by maternity staff she could after baby has a feed of at least 10 mins. Afterwards then told she could not leave until morning as staff not there at night ( this would have been ok if we were told this but we were not told this. ) My daughter was then told she couldn't leave if she did baby wouldn't be allowed to thus the two security guards!!!!!! What a total disgusting use of dominance against a young new mother who has phobia of being around others . BE WARNED DO NOT HAVE A BABY AFTER FIVE IN AFTERNOON OR YOUR BE HELD AGAINST YOUR WILL OR HAVE YOUR BABY HELD AGAINST YOUR RIGHTS Just because that's there policy

Ridiculous. My wife was there for twice as long as necessary because the nurses insisted she still wasn't well! They even managed to convince the doctors! I understand that they do the best they can, but in what world does a nurse dictate what the doctor has to do?
