Bought from Canny's used car business at the start of the South Link opposite the Elysian. Great service, good value and quick turnaround!

Do not buy a car from this garage! I have never experienced such bad customer service in all my life. I experienced issues with the car I purchased the same day I left the garage and I was not looked after even though the car was under warranty. It was extremely difficult to get in touch with the garage and when I did I was spoken to in a very aggressive manner. I eventually had to take my car to another garage to get repairs done and had to take D Canny Garage to small claims court to pay for the repairs. The car is now out of warranty but I am still experiencing issues with it 13 months after purchase. Save yourself the unnecessary hassle and buy from a more respectable garage.

    Regarding response provided by garage:
    1. "The car started chugging on way back to Dublin with no engine lights on. I suggested it might be dirty diesel. I recommended that you turn around and come back to me, but you wanted to continue on your travels. "- Not true. You told me to continue my travels and to replace the fuel filter myself.
    2. "We fixed the hose pipe that was causing the problem." - You replaced it with another broken hose pipe as described by the Ford Garage who ended up fixing it for me after your attempt.
    3. "You then went to the small claims court and tried suing me for over €800, They also seem to take my side as we only ended paying out less then €150.. (Correct me if I am wrong)" - Wrong. You paid out €500 to cover all the repairs I had to get done in Dublin.
    4. "If you remember I also offered you a 12 month nationwide warranty for a extra €200 that would of saved you the hassle of coming back to Cork." - As described to you on the day of sale, I turned this down as you assured me that if there were any issues with the car you would send a tow truck to Dublin for it and provide a replacement. When I requested this you then told me you no longer provide that service.

I bought a 03 ford focus from Canny's 3 years ago I got a great deal on it they were very kind and professional to deal with, great after sales service they gave me lots of advice on how to look after the car and I have had no problems with it besides a bit of rust which is inevitable with a 14 year old car. I have been back for its regular service and I always enjoy going to this garage could not recommend it more

I have had several dealings with D Canny Garage and Car Sales over the last 6 years, they have always been friendly, helpful and efficient.
Their work has always been done to the highest of standards and in a reasonable time.
I would highly recommend both Don, Dave and their staff for car sales and after care.

I had the same experience as S Wallace below. I was charged 200 euros for just getting a diagnosis on the car, no work was carried out. I was shocked for the amount I was being invoiced, queried invoice and communicated that I wasn't expecting to pay so much for not even getting a service. I'm on the last trimester of my pregnancy and didn't want to argue or get more upset so just paid the invoice and left.
I got my car with them a year and half ago and It was the only reason why I made the mistake to go back to them. They had a fantastic after sales service but unfortunately this is only short term as long term support is clearly not as good.

I've bought my last 3 cars from the Cannys. Whenever there was a problem the lads sorted it out with personality and professionalism. Would definitely recommend.

Bought a car from here, very happy with it. Great aftersales when needed re-balance on wheels and fuse fitted as well after 3 weeks, no charge. Would recommend and buy again.
