I wanted a member of staff to help me in making a decision on an appliance, when a member of staff walked near me another customer got their attention, so I was going to wait until they were finished. The member of staff never came back to me although I was clearly waiting for assistance. I proceeded to wait for a member of staff to walk near/ approach me while waiting in the same spot. Eventually after 10 minutes, i walked up to the till and asked could I get some assistance. A member of staff came over and did not help at all, he had no knowledge of the appliances I was looking at and did not even offer to find someone else to assist me in my purchase. He chewed gum obnoxiously while he talked to me. I was willing to spend a couple of hundred euros today but i left disappointed with the customer service I received today.

I ordered a tablet online and put it on hold and when I got there the lady told me it was gone, they sold it to someone else even though I had it reserved, I asked her what do you mean you can't sell it to someone else because I reserved it and she just looked at me as if she didn't understand what my issue was and her supervisor can over and just apologised but didn't do anything about it or even try to help. I bought a speaker as a present for my sister who was waiting for me in the car the same day and they had no bags so I couldn't hide it and they again just looked at me without trying to help, didn't even offer something to wrap it up with. Staff at the counter don't seem helpful but the floor staff seem to be up to date with knowledge on products and friendly. I definitely wouldn't reserve an item again for this store.

Went there to get smart lights Asked the staff and the guy couldn't be more annoyed at me for dragging him out of his chat with the rest of the staff. He answered no questions, I ended up buying in argos.

Very expensive compared to direct channels if distribution. Limited choice. No computers or peripherals device for professional market. To buy in internet directly is cheaper. Salesmen know very less about the computer they sell. One really urges something immediately to finish to buy here, but be sure for this urgency you will pay premium and ones has to be lucky to find what urges.

Visited here during the busy Christmas period and was attended to surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. The item I wanted was limited but the staff assured me they would hold onto it which I really appreciated. The sales agent I dealt with was curtious and honest throughout the transaction. Really positive customer experience overall

The place seem to have improved over the years. I noticed they have more staff than before and they are nice and helpful. However, sometimes it still takes forever to pay for an item or get help. And it is very annoying when you travel there to buy something and they don't have it, like a canon 50 mm lens that I was ready to pay 400 euro for there and then but they didn't have it and they couldn't guarantee they'd get it into that shop even if I pay for it to be brought in. All else is fine.

Do NOT trust Currys PC world as they knowingly sold me a computer that was defective. I bought a laptop where the hard drive failed, they replaced, the replacement hard drive and monitor failed. They didn't apologise, no refund and no replacement. The first person I talked to said that they knew the line was defective. They are a bunch of scam artists. 28 days I can't have my work laptop. Do not trust these people.

**Update: They are now sending me messages regarding a home service reminder. This company is a complete mess. Never ever use this company for business purposes.

While visiting Ireland on holiday I had to purchase a new camera as mine broke. Not an ideal situation, but found Curry's PC World through a Google search and was very impressed with the staff (thank you, Emmanuel!) who made the entire process very smooth. I would absolutely return if I lived in Galway.

I was a regular customer and felt that I had a poor experience last time.
However, on returning today I was again disappointed.
I was purchasing a laptop and waited for twenty minutes for some assistance.
While I was waiting I could clearly see four staff members talking by the entrance.

As nobody arrived to assist me I approached a member of staff who told me that he would get me a sales representative.
I waited a further ten minutes.
When the sales representative arrived, I instructed him to give me the laptop I wanted , I paid and left the store.

The sales representative that eventually arrived was very knowledgeable but the fact was I waited a half an hour to get me an item I had already selected, while staff members clearly stood around having a conversation.

Really really poor.

Decent selection and decent prices, even compared with online prices when you factor in shipping costs.
Staff aren't great, during busy periods it's hard to find one even when you know exactly what you want to buy. They can become very irritating trying to upsell their warranties and extras, which is where they earn commission. They charge insane prices for simple computer repairs such as 70e for formatting a pc.
So if you want to buy something here, try and get in when it's quiet and be prepared to listen to sale staff try to sell you over priced insurance for the item.
