Cheap and very central. Staff were excellent and helpful, pub downstairs does good food and a relaxing atmosphere.
We were given a room at the top of the building so it quite a climb for anyone with a disability. Quite a bit of mould and condesation from the bathroom and old old windows.
It was small and a bit outdated but the atmosphere was great and it was nice and warm in the room when it was freezing outside.
Ok, the Clifton Court Hotel. Place is really cheap, so my expectations weren't really high. And although the place could use a lick of paint, some new carpets and new bathrooms, I was pleasantly surprised.
The good:
- The location is great! Just a short walk from the Temple bar district and a lot other attractions
- The staff, very helpful and friendly
The bad:
- There was a fire door in the hall next to my room. Every time someone went through it, it slammed closed, causing slight tremors going through my room
- There was central heating in my room. It even had a knob to adjust the temperature. Unfortunately it was stuck, and set on Incinerate, causing me to sleep with the window open and without the blankets.
The ugly:
- Nothing really 😋
All in all a very pleasant and relatively cheap experience!
Great place with friendly staff, in an even better location.
Need a lot of comfort improvement.
The room was horribly hot and there was no way you could cool it.
The rooms are very noisey .
No lift. Don't know if I dreamed that someone said there was a lift. That's probably on me. But some of us aren't 19 and backpacking thru Europe anymore. This becomes an issue when you are lugging 20 kilo suitcases up two flights of stairs. The friendly staff helped, thank you. But the hostal in Avila, Spain only charged €30, not €130.
No complimentary breakfast. Don't think I imagined that.
Miniscule room and bath. Preparation for the Cattle Class plane flight home.
Room just out of Wi-Fi range. I've stayed in some holes, but this could top them. Taxi placement very convenient.
What a gauge.
Spent a little over $230 (195 euro) for St.Pats. The location is great, but a mark up of over 100 sterling? no. extremely springy mattresses, TINY washroom, narrow corridors. The windows in our room didn't open and the place had central heating, so the front desk would turn it on or off by guest request and if it was too hot for us we couldn't even open the window. Very stuffy and noisy. LOTS of things in the room required repair. I understand marking up the price for Holidays, but THAT much for what your getting is disgusting.
This hotel is budget. The location is PERFECT. But the shower wasn't warm, the mattress was very uncomfortable, the room was small, the corridors very narrow, the windows were old so let in all the street noise. Go for the location but expect to not sleep well and not spend any time in the hotel
Welcomed on arrival despite it being very late. No problems and very efficient!
Nice stay. Bit loud from 10pm at night onwards to 5am as music from pub downstairs. Ask for a top floor room
Very nice hotel, if you don't care to much about where you need to sleep. Here and there something is broken, but for the price this is really worth it! Perfect for students who are looking for an inexpensive place to stay.
