Had a lovely evening in the Viking House hotel in August, meal was excellent, met old and new friends and watched sport event while wife caught up with friends. Great last night of our holiday. Thank you.

Lovely little hotel, in a beautiful setting. The staff are all very friendly, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are well finished and immaculate, the beds are also very comfortable.
Food was faultless as is the service. On one occasion we had the Scampi for dinner, and never have I tasted Scampi like it, ever delicious! Breakfast offers a good choice, and will set you up well for the day ahead, visiting the surrounding beaches, villages etc.
Already looking forward to our next visit to the Carey Viking House Hotel.highly recommend ☺

Hotel clean. Food editable. Our room adequate. Colour drab. Bathroom on small side. Staff friendly and attentive. Scenery as always in Donegal breathtaking. Beautiful fresh air and unspoilt beaches. Fly/ drive to Donegal recommend. We got new car, picked up at Carrickfin airport. Give it a try.

The place is comfortable with great views. However it is starting to look a bit run down in places. Little things such as the light above the sink didn't work, the shelf above the sink was broken do nowhere to keep products. Towels were small and ragged. The food was ok. Most of the menu is bar staples - burgers etc. We chose the local fresh fish - cod and chips. They were good do were the prawn starters. Staff were friendly. Breakfast wasn't brilliant. Cheap sausages, scrambled eggs hard and over cooked. Think of it as substantial but not best quality.

Absolutely beautifully decorated and lovely hotel. Fantastic polite staff, and they have a great attitude and manner. Id recommend this hotel for anyone, be it a family, single or couples. The owner Pauline is very welcoming and an asset to the community. I couldn't fault it in anyway and will certainly be back in the future I hope.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights on a photographic workshop. From the moment I walked in I felt relaxed and at home.

The staff are all extremely pleasant and attentive.

The rooms are comfortable, the windows open to let the fresh Donegal air in and the heat is controllable depending how you like it!

The breakfast was lovely especially after being out from early morning. We even had flasks filled to take with us by the hotel. Dinner was very nice, served quickly and a good selection- the fish was great.

The location of the hotel itself over looking the bay is gorgeous and it is a great base to go exploring other more remote and scenic parts of Donegal including Bloody Foreland and Mount Errigal (it would be perfect for a mountain walking group)

I would highly recommend this hotel for exploring beautiful Donegal.
