Incredible place. The reward for going all the way to the top is spectacular. Not an easy hike, make sure you have some decent boots/shoes and prepare for wet feet. Wear wool socks!

Not a lot of the fort remains save for a partially collapsed defensive wall. The extensive views westward are a fantastic reward for the effort it takes to get there.

The hike to the fort which is about 730 feet above sea level should take between 40 minute and 1 hour depending on your level of fitness. Come prepared to cross some very wet peaty ground. All that remains of the fort is part of it's outer wall. However the view from the top is well worth the hike
