Nice Hotel - we stayed here during a motorcycle tour of the Wild Atlantic Way - although the weather turned we were warmly welcomed on arrival and allowed to park the motorcyclesin a well lit sheltered area. The Hotel is situated about a 5 min taxi ride from Lisdoonvarna where there are local bars. The breakfast was very nice

Great budget accommodation. Excellent value considering the portion sizes and room quality. Is often full of coach groups.

This place was a life saver! After a long evening visiting the Cliffs of Moher, we were exhausted and the weather was terrible. We were planning on driving into Killarney to stay for the night, but we were worried about making it in the weather. We happened to pass this hotel and I'm so glad we did! We paid about 80 Euro for one night and I would say it was very well worth it! The room was spacious with beatiful windows. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. More than anything else what stood out to me was how friendly the staff was! They were so professional and kind. The breakfast in the morning was included and very delicous and filling. Our waiter there really went above and beyond in his service! You can tell the staff really care about their jobs and the customers' experience. I highly recommend the Burren Caslte Hotel!

Very friendly staff excellent customer care. rooms are old fashioned but kept very clean. Taxi services are good 5euro for taxi into town. Residence bar closes at 11.30.

Exceptionally friendly people at the counter and in the restaurant. Rooms were clean, comfortable and a great size. Only problem is that it was advertised as free wifi but you don't get it in your room, only the lobby. Other than that we were very pleased! The free breakfast was great and plentiful as well. Did I mention extremely friendly service?

9/4/16. Pleasantly surprised. Whilst the decor is old fashioned the rooms are clean, comfortable and warm. Fixtures and fittings all well maintained with no sign of wear and tear. Beds were solid and comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Towels and bed linen in great nick and clean. On entering room there is musty smell, my guess is from lack of use, but leaving the window open while your out will eliminate it and will not compromise on heat (weather at time was sun, snow, hail, rain and strong winds.typical ireland).
Only negative was no iron in room and the iron requested had burned residue on it.
Breakfast was average. Plenty to offer but when busy the staff were overwhelmed. Id recommend cereals, fruit and juices be set up like a buffet for guests to help themselves rather then staff serving everything. Portions were sufficient however the hot food was cold.
Bar drink prices a little dear but so are most hotels.
We were staying in hotel attending a trad session but this would be ideal base for exploring Clare, esp to see cliffs of moher, allawee caves, etc. Excellent place for ramblers.
The staff were very nice and polite. The receptionist couldnt be any nicer and helpful.
