  Shite. Nearly broke my back to get at the damnable thing and caught cold sores off it to boot which is a form of herpes. Thanks a lot. Irish tourist board should read "Come to Ireland and catch STD'S". Wouldn't recommend

  Expect to spend over an hour in the line being a small narrow staircase with people all around you, if you get costlofobic I wouldn't recommend. The castles are awesome though. Well maintained gardens also. Price is pretty steep being 15 euros

  Amazing place to spend the day. On a sunny day this has got to be one of the best places to visit in cork. The Castle and grounds are in amazing condition. Kissing the stone and stuff is grand, although a bit disgusting considering the amount of people who've puckered up to it over the last 200 years. It's a little pricey to go in but is worth it. Great to see so many tourists out and about enjoying their time in this wonderful part of cork.

  I mean it's a must have in Ireland but nothing overly special. Be prepared to wait a long time to kiss the Barney! So leave plenty of time for waiting! We got an Irish coffee to keep us warm! Poison garden is neat to see tho! We explored the fern garden which was interesting cuz you are expecting a place like that beside the castle!

  A good walk to the stone from the entrance. You have to pay for entry. The entrance is not free. There is someone at the top who will hold you as you dangle upside down to kiss the stone. Some ppl would tip this person though this is not mandatory. There is also a photographer at the top who would take two pictures of you as you kiss the stone. You can buy the pictures as well as buy certificates that you have kissed the stone once you are walk down after kissing the stone.

  How can you not love going to Blarney Castle? I missed the Stone, and within 36 hours had a terrible cold, but was feeling very eloquent and finished my first novel. 10/10 would kiss again.

  Where: Blarney Stone, Ireland
  What: An old castle, where Blarney used to live. We went to kiss the stone to get the gift of the gab.
  How was it: It was great. The timing couldn't be better with the colours during fall. We didn't purposely plan it this way, it was just happenstance. But if you have the choice and love fall, make sure to visit in October ! The weather is cool but the magnificent colours make up for it.
  Besides all of that, the castle is something. You can visit all the rooms inside and see how they lived years ago. The best is at the end when you get the view from the top and get to kiss the stone. You don't have to do it, but let's just say that would be like walking out to work in your pjs.
  Love this place and would definitely return, next time without the tour bus so we can spend more time !

  Grounds are kept nice and tidy and provides a good few hours of navigating around and exploring.
  
  Castle itself isn't anything that HAS to be seen as it's only standing there to accommodate the stone.
  
  Unfortunately the house was closed.
  
  €13 pp. Judge yourself if it's worthwhile to kiss the stone or not.
