We so enjoyed our stay at Aran Lodge. The room was comfy, the breakfast tasty and the view of Bantry Bay is lovely. Deirdre was a warm and friendly host and we really appreciated the laundry service she offers. A nice extra was having Ollie (black lab) greet us when we arrived.
Aran Lodge is a perfect place to stay if you are planning on exploring Sheepshead and Beara Peninsulas as it is located between the two.
The bathroom in our room was very small. This was not a problem for us but may be an issue for plus sized folks. We would stay here again.response / report this review -

My sister Eveline and I, Jacquelien had a very nice stay at Aran Lodge. We have danced in the pub nearby.
Every body is helpfull and brings you to the places nearby.
We loved the place, quiet and friendly.
And a super breakfast!
So we have to come back for a lot of reasons.

We stumbled across Aran Lodge quite by accident. What a place and the most hospitable hosts you could ask for. The room [family size] was fantastic, being very large, with ensuite bathroom, extensive storage for longer stays, a balcony with views over Bantry Bay and the little stream nearby. Just a wee walk away was a local pub with enormous meals at very friendly prices. Would recommend it to anyone traveling that way :)
