Both the Scott family and the Heraty family have been comming to Sol Rio for 16 years and each time we have been so well treated and the food is fantastic, it goes from strength to strength. Highly recommended

We went on a Monday evening.. Thankfully we had booked on the previous day as the restaurant was completely booked out and they were turning away many people who just turned up on the night.

They staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant itself is small but beautifully decorated.

The good was very good. We had lamb terrine and crab salad for starters.
The main courses were the star of the show. Fresh brill and Sea trout. It is rare enough to see these on a menu and they were both very well cooked.

Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you visit Westport.

One of the best restaurants in the heart of Westport. Great local food & excellent staff. Always a great experience. Head to Matt Molloys across the street for a pint beforehand!

Wonderful! Our taxi driver suggested a visit while we were on a brief holiday and we struck lucky as we hadn't booked but managed to get a table. What amazing food and wonderful service - attentive but not intrusive. And he actually suggested a wine which was cheaper than the one I'd requested as he felt it would complement the food better. It was a great choice and we'll definitely be back.

Gorgeous quaint and romantic restaurant with a spot on French waiter. He is not too much and makes it a great experience. Food was great quality. Pig cheeks melted in your mouth and pork belly and scallops were good. Probably too much pork in one night but that was my fault!!
