This is the nicest hostel I stayed in while in Europe if traveling through and need a place to stay do try this one. Affordable comfortable quiet with all the comforts of home, very nice place

What a wonderful place to stay if you'd like to trek to the Cliffs of Moher! Clean showers, free laundry and warm place to sleep. Doolin is split into three sections and this hostel is located in the middle, so you have walking access to all three great pubs with trad sessions.

Such a nice place. Like a family House. You Come in and listen to Irish music at the fireplace. A House built with Stones, Wood and Love. The kitchen is ALWAYS clean! They have got a lot of sharp knives and new pans for cooking. If you are a traveller who enjoys cooking this is a good place to live and make some delicious food. The beds are solid and the bathrooms are clean. They even have got Tipis to rent if you feel like camping in the backyard. The owner and all the staff members are really friendly and helpful if you need something. Just a nice an quiet place to tank some Irish energy!!!

I have stayed at the Aille River Hostel on a number of occasions and have always been greeted by a warm welcome and a warm fire. The owner and staff are genuinely warm, friendly people. The rates are very good for the region and the country as a whole.

I have stayed here on a few occasions now, although have camped every time; although even when camping the facilities are for the use of all guests. The hostel is something of a haven - the facilities are superb and the large wood-burning stove in the open plan lounge area is a source of comfort. There are ample kitchen and bathroom facilities and the setting is idyllic.

This has to be the greatest hostel I've ever stayed at during my many travels. Maybe it's because I loved Doolin but I'm sure it also has to do with the gorgeous little cottage-like hostel we stayed at. The front desk attendant was so sweet and seemed to love her job, it made me want to open up a B&B myself. For the small price we paid to stay here for the night, we were surprised to find that the Aille River Hostel was more than satisfying. So comfy, so clean, and so cute! Will be recommending this place to all of my friends.
