For locations too far from the city
When at night the ways no street light and that's so scarry and accident prone

expecting better hotel for price (500k idr). breakfast are good but not much variety n no traditional menu.
some spot are under construction.
2 buildings have 5 floors with 2 elevators.
also cottages.
a lot of statue, fountain and beautiful garden. but some are unmaintained.

If you’re flying into Medan late and need a place to stay that’s close to the airport, this is a good and affordable choice. It’s ten minutes away from the airport, offers a free airport shuttle both ways, and is a clean, modern, quiet, full featured hotel complex with large, good quality beds, western toilets, cold A/C and an on-site ATM that works with US ATM cards as well as a small general store with various travel things and insect repellent that you’re going to need if you’re headed into the jungle. You can also buy cold beer from the onsite restaurant, which is very convenient when it’s midnight and you just got in after a long day on the road or in the air.

One note: if you need to hire a car to go to Bukit Lawang to see the Orangutans, don’t hire the car through the front desk here. I didn’t know any better and I got ripped off to the tune of double the going rate (paid 900,000 rupiah, should have been 400,000 which is what I paid locally in BL for an identical return trip). I also wouldn’t bother with the included buffet breakfast, which was mediocre.

Otherwise, the place itself was very good.

We stayed one night at Thongs Inn in Medan.

- Fast booking
- Pickup from airport in Medan
- I forgot my two necklaces in the hotel room. First there were some communication problems with the stuff. But then the boss himself engaged and personally took care of finding the necklaces. It was a good and friendly communication with him. He also offered me to send the necklares to me.
I'm really happy to get them back, thank you!!

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are all new with a good shower. Restaurant and Reception look a little bit like a train station and breakfast was not the best.

Quite hotel. It has a large area, mostly empty for further development. The room are very nice. Quite impressive for a transit hotel because its near Kuala Namu airport, but location is a little bit hidden so you better ask for direction when you are coming here. Breakfast was a simple buffet but its okay. It has outdoor playground for kids. Minus side the room is a little bit far from the lobby, and some part of the walkway doesnt have roof so its going to be tricky when its raining to get into your room. The road to the room for car drop off was closed due to renovation and construction undergoing.

Teribble place and to find the locations is very hard to find. I wonder how they can manage themselves to promote their location near KNO airport. The function room is really worse. We had 4 electrical problem during 2 hours meeting.
