The hotel is situated really near from Malang Kotalama Railway Station. It is easily reached by public transportation and the parking area is large. It is visible from the main road and finding it would not be a problem.

Nice hotel with complete facilities. Unfortunately I'm not so impressed with dining room in the 2nd floor here (it wasn't about the food). I think it's a really nice idea to put a pond beside the dining room, but it creates so many mosquitos in the place. I got so distracted when I ate my breakfast because of it. Nevertheless, this is one of the best hotel you could find in Malang. Strategic location (located next to a train station) and also the swimming pool had a very great view.

Lokasi strategis banget karena dekat dengan stasiun. Tapi kamarnya enggak kedap. Dan karena waktu itu sudah tidak ada kamar yang non-smoking, jadilah terpaksa di smoking room. Kamarnya bau rokok banget. Baju saya jadi bau rokok. Hari berikutnya, pindah hotel. Resepsionis juga kurang komunikatif. Parkiran mobilnya lumayan luas, begitu juga parkiran motornya.

I was here with my unit, appx.30 people. They provide a nice rooftop for meeting, completed with acoustic band and coffee bar. But At night, it was so cold on the rooftop, so I suggested to bring jacket.
The hotel also provides swimming pool. Overall, it was nice, clean, and strategic (near Malang Lama Train Station). Keep up!

One time, my wallet was left behind while I were going to airport. They were so active and supportive to find and help me to deliver the wallet. So much thank you!

It's the Balava Hotel, and another option to sleep in rather to go on next door hotels. Good breakfast and good night rest. I will definitely come back for the weekend and the rest of the week as well. Its full of character and very colourful with lovely staff waiting to help u at any time. I want you to know that you have a good night out there.

The Balava Hotel staff has very POOR hospitality, either the receptionist, pool man, and restaurant staffs. They need to learn how to handle EVERY KIND OF GUEST nicely.
The layout of the buffet is very bad, since they put main course, fruits, drinks, spoon and fork in the same station and make a long queue.
I found stain on the ceiling maybe because it's leaked, somehow (my room was in 2nd floor).
They can also add more toiletries.
For a 4 stars hotel, it is really need to be upgraded.

Room was nice. Large enough and the best thing is that it was super clean, I love it. Bathroom was wide enough with standard toiletries, hot water was good. Booked via an application and requested for high floor, we got 5th floor with Stasiun Malang Kota Lama view. It was not bad. Sometimes you can hear trains, but it wasn't that noisy. Rooftop view was also nice. Went there to get the welcome drink and grab some coffee and snacks. Ordered strawberry flavored icecream but chocolate icecream was served instead without confirmation lol. All staffs and services were nice except the cashier at the rooftop. Overall it was a nice stay with a nice budget as well.

Only One step from Stasiun Kereta Kota Lama Malang. No need to cross any street. So good for train traveler. Clean and neat. Loved the interior design. Like the breakfast to Will be back in this hotel.

This is not a 4 star hotel but 3 star hotel with swimming pool. Thats it. The room were small for 4 star hotel, not too clean. They're not using carpet. No cupboard. Breakfast were very 3 star styled. Not only that, this hotel location is very far from the city center, very dark outside, no food stall, so you bettet go back to this hotel when you ready to sleep.

So above all that, I guess you need to revise the hotel classification, you only deserve 3 stars.

Hotel yg bagus dg flyroof yg indah, ice creamnya enak, kolam renangnya keren, reservasinya ramah, makanannya enak, room atas viewnya bagus dg suara kereta api, flyover dll terlihat jelas, lukisan kamarnya bagus tp perlu dilindungi misal dg kaca dan tempat parkirnya luas, cocok klo buat meeting2 besar, terutama yg diundang bawa motor/mobil, taksi juga gampang, dekat dg stasiun cuma sakududtan selangkah doang, asyik deh. Pesan kamarnya yg bagus paling atas 😄👍
