We really enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel- it is modern and clean- exactly as the photos show, with polite and friendly staff. Better for people who love spending time at the pool as opposed to the beach (the coastline has receded and the beach is littered). Walking distance to the beach, and the plaza- it is still closed at the moment but hopefully will reopen with more tourists. Breakfast was great- we had a la carte the first morning and a buffet breakfast the second; I'm not sure if this is based on the day of the week or the number of guests staying. Also enjoyed taking the shuttle bus to their sister hotel for dinner. Small improvements could be made like providing conditioner, more than 2 devices on wifi and the walls were quite thin if you are unlucky and have noisy neighbors

Average hotel. Price wise is not that cheap considering nothing much nearby the hotel and its quite ulu. Hotel staffs provides good services and were able to speak proper English. Their wifi speed were extremely slow and they gave u an option upgrade the speed but you will have to pay money. We have all been to so many hotels, wifi is the most basic thing the hotel should provide instead of charging extra right…? After leaving the hotel basically there’s no much places to go other than eating, sat at the hotel lobby yet no air con is on. Very stuffy, went up to their cafe at level 7 also no air con is on. Their gym equipments are not working well too, yet no one is fixing it.

The pictures on Agoda was nicer. Room has a stench of pipe water and insecticide. Our bedsheets and towels were with stain from previous occupant perhaps.

The area is very boring and Plaza Lagoi is very dead too. This is not a resort and so the pool is small, gym is smaller and there is no massage within the hotel.

Overall Bintan stay could be boring if not spend in a well built and extensive resort.

First impression was quite good, food was tasty, hotel staff was very friendly, but there was unpleasant smell in the bathroom (from sink pipes or floor drain), room ceiling was leaving during heavy rain and the foor next to swimming pool was slippery. They've put sandpaper tape on terracotta, so you can expect to tear of the skin and nails on your toes more than once if you slip and fell when you're unlucky.
On a side note, you won't find this on hotel's website, beware that there might be black tar oil on the beach and in the sea preventing you from wanting to spend time there.

This is my second time here. A nice and relaxing place. Staffs are very friendly. Is not a place for shopping. Thought of bringing my children here for the self drive buggy but the service was removeddisappointedBut they still have fun..

This hotel is very comfortable, clean and a good place to come and relax (we came at the low season). However, there is not much to do around the hotel.
There was a small gym with dumbbells, a treadmill, a barbell and free weights, that was sufficient if you want to do a small workout. The pool was also on the rooftop, good to relax in and had showers and changing rooms.
Breakfast was amazing! Large variety (there were fresh fruits, a selection of sweets, and both Western and Asian choices).
Staff was very helpful, but go to the Bintan Resorts office at the Plaza Lagoi if you want to book a tour, rather than booking at the hotel. In our experience, there is a wider range of tours offered.

The roof top is so peaceful. It has an infinite pool. Stargaze at night and relax next to the pool. You can hear the waves from near the beach. Food was good and they give complementary breakfast. The lobby is very well maintained. Excellent room service. The rooms are very spacious and tidy. They even have live music during evening time. Lots of recreational activities near the beach. The view from the hotel room and the terrace is breathtaking. Next to the hotel is a mall where one can find traditional Indonesian items. The area has been developed very nicely and Bintan is undoubtedly very beautiful. Not much to roam around but a day or two for relaxation or enjoying in the beach is never a no.

Also known as the Grand Lagoi hotel. Near a beautiful beach and lake. Only a taxi ride away from the nearby Treasure Bay. The shopping plaza had very few open shops and restaurants so I recommend the nearby Warung yeah! cafe by the beach. Many or all rooms have a balcony though the view isn't that great. Hotel staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. I believe they can also speak multiple languages. They also have an entertainment room with a small theater, a pool table, and game consoles. The half of the hotel is still under development due to the lack of people coming to stay here. Bicycles and electric bikes are available for rental. Overall great hotel and has potential for even more.

Very cosy and clean room. Spacious too. My room has a balcony with a very nice sea view. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful! It is located nearby the ferry terminal, very convenience.

However, this place can be quite boring as there is not much activities can be done here.

Great place for a weekend stay. The room was cosy and the view to the lagoon was pretty. The samsung smart tv provided some YouTube entertainment. There's a games room which has 2 sets of PS4 (this was one of the highlights of my stay there), pool table, Wii set, ping pong table, etc. The rooftop pool was pretty awesome. Restaurant was a bit pricey. But if you want you could go for the BBQ buffet dinner and sunset cocktail, it was worth it for us. Service was great, just that room service was a bit slow. We ordered fish and chips through room service, though expensive but worth every cent in my opinion. Overall, had a wonderful time there.

The hotel facilities are great for families. Their entertainment room is sure to keep the children entertained. The convenience of the plaza lagoi nearby also makes food and the buying of other necessities (I.e. Cup noodles and beers) cheap and accessible. It's located in a spot of bintan that is still developing though, so it's kinda secluded. But if a quiet getaway is what you are looking for, it will do.

Nice hotel to rest & relax. Has potential to be a nice resort but reckon it's difficult for the other supporting businesses to maintain with just seasonal crowds. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Still highly recommended for those seeking a quiet retreat.

Reach here at 1200 their timing and told us that they can only check us in at 1500. Website put check in at 1200. It's okay so we waited,1445 asked if we can check in ,told us another 15mins ,1500 asked again ,said it not ready and told us to wait another 15mins! What the hell is this?

Despite the Lagoi area being minutely populated and underequipped, this hotel is neither so. It's massive lateral stature is visible from a distance beyond the lake and in general looks very well built.

At the same time, the service is quite good. The hotel in general has a largely accessible, and incredibly stable WiFi network, that spans across the area, even seeping into Lagoi Plaza. The breakfast has a large variety of cuisines, and the room service is quick and effective. I personally encountered a problem with our door lock that they resolved swiftly without hassle. Rooms are great with a decent queen sized bed and a sofa bed at the side, which could comfortably sustain 3 people. Every room has a smart tv set with YouTube capabilities and the ability to Miracast android devices to the screen.

The best thing, neverthless, is the fluid infinity pool on its roof next to the bar. It's incredible view and level of comfort is impressive, and something I was definitely not expecting. Downstairs, there is a games room.

All in all, the hotel provides an incredibly smooth transition between elements of service that allows for movement at a simple, localised pace. There is nothing pertinently exceptional about the place, no grand cuisine or service. But everything is balanced and that's what matters.

Love the hotel. Has unique interiors and facilities. It has game room and overpriced karaoke (SGD 250 for 3 hours???). The rooftop pool can almost pass for infinity pool.

I was very amazed with the room is a premier room, very big, very neat and clean, very nice in general the room. The room is facing the lake and the garden. The lake is very wide nice view and the garden of the hotel very romantic. Very nice. The hotel have kid's club, entertainment room, fishing pond, karaoke room and some games to do inside. First time, we went there in Grand Lagoi Resort Village Bintan. That was May 13-15, 2017. The was food very good, the hotel staff very accomodating, the hotel lobby is big with beautiful relaxing sofa's, windy outside the lobby and it is a huge place. There is a Plaza Lagoi, which is a shopping mall next from the hotel. There are restaurants inside the plaza mall and hotel restaurant on the roof top with swimming pool very nice too. The hotel is near from the beach 3 mins. walk. The ferry terminal is also 20 mins. Transport to/from. There is a hotel bus will pick-up and return to the ferry terminal. Overall was very good and pleasant stay in Grand Lagoi. I want to go back there again. I miss the place, nothing to worry. No thief no bad people around. Very relaxing place. If you wants something to relax, you want some fresh air, so go to Grand Lagoi Resort. There is a shop to buy things and food and atm machine inside the hotel, if you wants spa in plaza Lagoi next building from the hotel.

Great Hotel to stay in for family or couple. If you want a relaxing stay, this is the hotel you should book. We stayed here for 5 nights, Yes! 5 nights with my husband and 2 daughters ages 5 and 4.

Actually my children enjoyed the most as they are most of the time in the entertainment room playing bowling over the Wii U, Ps4, watching movies eating cotton candy and pop corns too. They enjoyed playing in the playground too. Swimming in the kids pool in the roof top where we can leave them there with our maid and we couple can walk around the beach, rent a buggy or a bicycle.

We've been here a couple of times and it has a huge change since the last time. They have more activities to choose from like fishing, boats which you can rent and paddle in the beautiful lake, rent a lighted car and paddle, quite a number of tours they to offer around Bintan as well.

Great and friendly staffs as well specially Ms. Nelly who assisted us in our whole stay. Such a gem in the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. The food buffet for breakfast was also superb. We will sure be back again.

The area is very quiet and with only 2 supermarket, 3 massage parlours and 2 eateries. But this make the area good for people wanting to get away from crowds and to simply do nothing and unwind. Swimming pool is a bit dirty but the room is very clean and have a spacious toilet. Hotel is generous with the free toiletries provided and the Staffs are friendly. Hotel is also quiet but I made my trip during a Wednesday to Friday so I can't be certain about the weekends.

Nice hotel room but hotel staffs and facilities need further improvement in their service. Coordination need to be improve for the extra activities organized for hotel guests. Telephone line need more hunting lines so that guests can call in easier. Buffet breakfast is nice but need more variety. Bicycle rental available here. More shuttle service timing recommended for treasure bay. Kelong food recommend by this hotel is normal not nice and we still have to sit boat all the way there.

Nice hotel in Lagoi Bay. Clean and spacious rooms with friendly staff. Food options were not very wide and a bit pricey in the hotel. There was a nice local eating place near the fishing pond for cheap and decent meal.

The hotel is close to the public beach, but there were very few people around that made it nice and quiet place to relax. Beach and water were clean, but need to watch out for the occasionally jelly fish.

The facilities are good. Staffs and helpful. My kids loved the pool and kids corner.
Hotel located on the northern end of Bintan Island, where all the resorts and villas are located. Nothing much within walking distant. It's a place to just rest and relax.

It is the 3rd time I've been to Bintan, but this is the best experience ever. The hotel service is very considerate. Everybody is willing to help and warm-hearted. My friend fell down and didn't feel well, they sent hot chocolate and juice to our room, and extend the check out time till 30 min before our ferry boarding time.

Food is nice, room is very clean. View of room is good and the beach is nice. I really enjoy this trip and hope to have chance to stay here again if there is chance.
