If you either traveling on a budget or searching for a hotel near to the Batur Lake (Danau Batur), this place is okay. The basic room is very basic with old and little broken furnitures, slippery bathroom = very minimalist — yet we only stayed for the sleep, so didn’t really that matter. Segara Hotel has its own “pendopo” restaurant. The food price is overrated but tasty, also helpful staffs though they look scary haha. It has almost perfect view to Batur Lake and Mountain and probably only takes 50 meters to the edge of the Lake, but that edge isn’t a place to sit and relax caused by the plants and bushes. It’s better enjoying the place at Dermaga Kedisan, near from the hotel. The hotel is just okay, but they win for the view.
Good place for short stay, the food is good, room is so-so but it's still okay. Put some attention to bedsheets, blankets and pillows, it's a little bit dirty. But overall it's okay.
Affordable price. Clean. Good service.
Absolutely horrible. Bathroom sink had wrong drain, water cannot go out. Toilet dirty, bathtub dirty, in room lot of dust, towels and bedsheets smell strange, most probably not clean. Only one power plug for room for 3 people. No fridge, no fsn, no reading lamps, just non-working TV. NEVER MORE!
The hotel is conveniently located next to mount Batur, with a nice view on the lac and cheap room available. That being said, expect the bare minimum. One bed, one plug in the room, one bed table, period. The bathroom is a little square where toilet, shower and sink share the same space. Take a shower, wet everything. The breakfast was ok.
Great place before climbing mont Batur and even for a relax
They are playing tricks to get your money. I had to pay 170.000. I gave 200.000 and expected 30k back. Clark disappeared with the money. Boss came and said, money was too big for change. We discussed for a while and Clark change with change one min later. Be careful at the restaurant. Prices are excluding tax! Never saw this in Bali.
Staff not very friendly. Harassed with activities options. Spacious place. Room sprayed against pest before my arrival (bad smell at night, big dead cockroaches in the morning). Dirty towels. Credit cards are accepted. Good food options.
Clean room, nice garden, friendly waitress, cheap, tasty food
Good price and good food. But no hot water in the room and a lot of pressure by the stuff to pay a guide to reach the top of the vulcano, really annoying.
We had a double room which was basic and one plug above the bed. Lots of flies in the room and area. Shower was hot. The the restaurant and staff were nice and friendly. Not much around. Only stayed for the Mt Batur trek which we booked via the hotel, and had a transfer to Ubud one way for 250.000.
Room smelt of damp, no hot water, staff are not friendly
Very bad, we have been harased by three employees at start.
Expensive and dirty, the food is horrible.
Take care, they want you to pay with visa to copy your CB
Food taste like Shitt.
be carefull using credit card.
use my credit card last time in here.
next days, someone hacking my credit card.
Expensive considering the rooms, but it's probably impossible to find better deal in the area.
Only ate at the restaurant. Fried chicken and fish with peanut sauce were delicious!
Good budget option before Batur sunrise trekking. Breakfast included. Restaurant is average quality as the others in the area.
Room was basic but adequate for the budget.. Meals were pretty good.. Staff were really friendly and attentive.. One annoyance was the dump trucks hauling volcanic dirt out of the village to the east pretty much all night - the main road for the trucks is right in front of the motel and the trucks go up a slight incline there so drop down a gear.. Also, expect to get hassled for guides to the volcano.. Relentlessly..
Bedsheets & blankets haven't been washed for ages.. They need to be burnt and completely replaced!!
