Mei 2018, setelah sudah tiga bulan sejak kunjungan terakhir, akhirnya saya mengunjungi Saboten yang baru didesain ulang. Saya tidak bisa duduk di bagian lesehan luarnya, mungkin karena saya berkunjung di waktu siang saat Ramadhan. Parkir masih luas, tempat masih bersih seperti dulu. Masih merupakan salah satu opsi ternyaman untuk makan makanan jepang dengan harga terjangkau.
Lesehan dalam yang berada di sebelah Mushola juga menghilang, berubah jadi semacam ruang tunggu (untuk yang satu ini, jujur saya menyayangkan). Lesehan luar dipugar bagian dindingnya. Mereka juga menambahkan menu paket yakiniku dan sukiyaki untuk ramai-ramai. Sekarang di setiap meja disediakan kompor untuk kedua paket ini hingga kita bisa merebus dan memanggang dagingnya sendiri.
Untuk makanan dan layanan, Saboten masih merupakan pengalaman hit or miss. Dalam pelayanan, contohnya. Saya pernah dilayani oleh mbak yang ramah sekali, yang mengantarkan sampai ke lesehan. Tapi saya juga pernah terganggu luar biasa dengan staff bagian dapur yang menyanyi keras-keras dan tertawa dengan suara cempreng. Kadang makanan datang lumayan cepat, kadang lamanya ampun-ampunan kemudian begitu ditanyakan, ternyata menunya habis (tanpa memandang unsur ramai atau tidak).
Makanan juga sama, saya pernah mendapat Gyudon yang gurih, pernah juga mendapat gyudon yang rasanya entah kenapa cuma seperti campuran shoyu dan kecap dengan bawang bombay lebih banyak dari dagingnya. Karage Blackpepper juga sama, mostly baik-baik saja, tapi pernah mendapatkan yang rasanya benar-benar gabungan tajam nggak enak antara lada yang terlalu banyak dan bumbu yang terlalu menyengat. Untungnya, untuk sushi, ramen, dan snack sejauh ini stabil.response / report this review -

For the japan's food, this's not bad. But for the real taste for the japan's food, it still need improvement. Over all, that's price so cheap and that's be interest for the people using low budget to get japan's food.

It serve japanese cuisine with affordable prices.. but you need to make sure that everything s you've order will be served, since sometimes the waiter forgot to serve complimentary foods

Even Saboten claimed that they sell Japanese Food, but actually they're not. The taste is suitable for Indonesian, so when you order a spicy one, maybe you could see slices chili there. But overall, Saboten is good and recommend.

Saboten shokudo is restaurant that serves Japanese dish as their main menu. Varies from chicken blackpapper to sushi this place offer some good quality Japanese dish. There is a lot of item that you can choose for. This place attracts students and workers. So this place basically attract everyone :) The food comes with a very good price. It is not to expensive and at reasonable rate. Located right in the middle of the city help you when you have nowhere to go when you're hungry. And if you have a very tradional palate don't worry, their food come with a very familiar taste :)
