For me, taste of the squid dish is too sweet. It also has small portion. The place is quite easy to find, but its hard to park here.

It may not look like much but the dish served here Nasi Cumi-Cumi (literally squid rice) is one of tastiest dish we have tried in Java. This particular stall is a humble-looking hut covered in roof-to-floor waterproof sheet sheltering it from scorching tropical heat and pouring rain and a single long wooden bench to sit on. The dish is all about its taste mind you so don't expect much in terms of presentation. For its taste the price of about 14K rupiah (if memory doesn't fail me) is worth it since squid ain't that cheap to begin with.

The good thing about this place is it opens 24 hours. Even though it was very popular among Surabaya people, i didnt find any tasty flavour here. It was just a rice and some other toppings like shredded chicken, chips, sambal, flavoured squids, fried eggs and some other. Although for this kind of service and ok taste, this meals were quite expensive. I also hate their hygiene because this place is so dirty

The name of this place is so adorable. For the price of squid, the food in this place is too expensive. The taste of the food was ordinary. Or maybe this is the taste of Madura food. It tastes just salty and savory. Squid is still tough.
I know this dish is one of the typical food of manado, named "Cumi Woku Tinta Belanga". In Makassar there is also the same menu. I prefer that squid seasoning in the form of shallots, garlic, green cayenne, big red chili, green tomatoes, ginger, bay leaf, lime leaves, galangal, pepper, sugar, tamarind, salt and broth my mother).
Other than that, unfortunately the employees of this place are not friendly at all. Unlike the owner who although not friendly, but better than its employees. There is also one of the men who became parking attendants. He is very friendly. It's not fair if I just blaspheme without telling the positive side.

Taste good with a little too expensive price, cleanliness and hygiene doubted since the seller hand directly pick up some food and put them on your plate. Pretty tight space during the day but more space available at night because they add tables.

A cheap, inexpensive shop set in the side of the road serving delicious nasi cumi (squid rice plate). They only serve 4 different kind of dish, each is a slight different variation from the other. The base is the same, consisting steamed rice and squid. Then you get different kind of side dishes with each plate. None of them cost more than Rp 20000 (USD $1.5).

The dish is very delicious, leaving you wanting for more. They also open 24 hours so you can always go there after the late night party.. I mean.. study sessions ;), or any time you feel like having one.

Absolutely recommended and one of my main highlights while visiting Surabaya.

Peyek udangnya yang renyah bercampur dengan serundeng dan sambal yang mantap pedasnya. Klimaksnya adalah semur cumi yang sangat nikmat dan tidak ada rasa amis sekalipun.
