The villa is a good size.
The service staff are excellent.
The location is perfect to nearby Ubud town center.
The pool is a good size and is 1.6m deep.
The environment and atmosphere is rustic.

However;
It does seem a little aged.
Our toilet shower was slow in draining the water.
Bedsheets were not the cleanest. We asked for a change.
Floor felt like it wasn't mopped.
Aircon couldn't be controlled by the aircon controller.
Bear in mind that your villa is not fully private; so no skinny dipping here!

I find this place just marginally above average. Perhaps more maintenance and Housekeeping could keep this place fantastic.

Great location, comfortable beds, nice Villas with semi private pools. The location is excellent, walking distance to most sights in Ubud. Take time to walk around the property, it much larger than it appears from the street view.

Good Hotel with nice environment, close to Ubud CBD. But the facilities are not quite good as other 5 stars hotels. The staffs were not too friendly, maybe because they need to be working during the new year holidays. By the way, that is close to shops, restaurants, and monkey forest, so, that is suitable for the people who don't want to travel long way to such above places.

A 4-star hotel that provides a 5-star experience. Had I known it is that good I would've extended my stay. The staff were super friendly and they react to minor complaints very quickly, example: I told them that the water heater isn't working well and when I got back to the room 1 hour later, it's fixed.

They surprised me on my birthday, I was having my breakfast when they started singing happy birthday song. I did not announce my birthday but they took notes based on my passport and even left lovely notes and rose in my room. Can't say I wasn't touched by this sweet gesture.

I had a private pool during my stay and every day I just count my blessings to be part of this lovely experience. Thanks Kajane!

This is perhaps the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We booked a superior double room. The mattress lies on a much larger wood platform base that makes it difficult getting on/off the bed. The air conditioning blows cold air directly towards the bed so we either have to turn it off and suffer from the heat, or risk getting sick from the cold air through the night. There is no power outlet in the room available for charging our mobile phones/tablets,unless we unplug the lamp. The bathroom floor is made of concrete islands of different heights, an extremely stupid design which may look artistic to the hotel owner but dangerous for one to walk on with slippers at night. The shower changes between cold and hot no matter how you try to adjust it. Worst of all, the loud noisy music from the street comes into our room until almost midnight. What a lousy hotel that ruined our vacation trip..

This is the perfect Ubud hotel in my opinion. Villas have a classic Bali feel, get the private pool villas, classic wood one if possible. It's perfectly centrally located. And the service is amazing. The entire staff is always helpful and greeting you asking about your needs before you know you need anything. They deliver free breakfast to your villa. They have free shuttle service anywhere in Ubud. It's an amazing experience.

We stayed in Kajane Mua end of December during the rainy season in Indonesia. The hotel is excellent: beautiful location, great service, large variety of breakfast items, convenient location in Ubud, fast wifi, nice pool. We spent 2 nights in the villa which has access to a semi-private pool. You can literally roll out of bed and jump into the pool in the morning.
