Located just at the most-remembered Malioboro street in Jogjakarta.
The hotel is having direct access to Malioboro Mall, and just across the street of the pedestrian local Malioboro market.
Hotel is quite neat, with small-business standard room. Voice from rooms can be heard from outside, indeed.
Breakfast is OK.
Would be nice if room rate to be lowered a bit.

Very nice location (connected to Malioboro Mall), easy transportation (Trans jogja bus stop within walking distance), lots of food stalls near the hotel (also Batik/clothing stores). Clean Room and bathroom. Breakfast variety is good. Friendly staffs. And value for money.

I love this hotel, this is the best 3 star hotel i've ever stayed at. The room is spacious enough and very clean, breakfast was great, and love the rain shower.
The hotel policy to let people smoking in the lobby is major issue for me and the internet connection was poor.

The hotel is cozy and lively with a good service. Hot and cold water work nicely and the wifi is free although a bit slow. The place itself also near the Malioboro Mall and the Malioboro street making hangout and shopping easily reachable. The place is good for those who wants to spend night at the heart of Yogyakarta. The only cons I got is the view to the Malioboro street is blocked by the Malioboro Mall.

Hotelnya bersih dan wangi, begitu masuk lobby hotel, aroma yang wangi menenangkan tercium di seluruh ruangan yang ber-AC, lorong di tiap lantai udah ada karpet nya yang membuat suasana lebih kedap dan tidak berisik, alunan musik slow terdengar dari speaker2 kecil yang ada di atap, masuk kamar didalamnya juga cukup bersih, toiletries cukup lengkap, air panas lancar, tersedia teko elektrik untuk merebus air panas, overall cukup bagus, ciamik!!

I think I still like this hotel and surely there is a number of hotels which I like better than this one so I rate it by 5 but there is also a number of hotels which I don't really like then I rate it by 3 so when it comes to the matter of style and furnishing this hotel seemed to be in between. when I stay here together with a friend for several hours all I remember was that everything works just fine

Room and food is good. But we had an experience when earthquake yesterday, the emergency stairs was not in easy flow to going down. Especially when I stay from 8th floor. Need to be aware for our safety on this kind of situation.

Saya tidak paham kenapa setiap baru masuk kamar tercium aroma rokok padahal lantai adalah non smoking area. The sink also smells bad! Their breakfasts option wasn't the best at all. Same menu everyday and same taste. What I like from Ibis? Their friendly staff and commitment to take care the environment by asking guest to not changing towels everyday.

The room is not too large, but the location just a walking distance from Malioboro street, perfect. On the weekend, you may should queue before having your breakfast as the resto is not so large. You will have a back door to Malioboro mall which is very good if you are hungry or need something else. I do jogging in the morning from hotel to Alun Alun Utara, it was very good atmosphere. Great clean all what you expect in an Ibis hotel. Despite the staff advising me there is construction till 5 pm it is noise is not noticeable. Centrally located and popular hotel among Indonesians.

Location, location, location as Ibis always does. It's located close to Malioboro street, the most famous street in Yogyakarta, train station, and connected directly to mall for your convenience.

Staffs are professional, friendly and helpful. Room is clean, organized, and quite big for Asian. Overall, very good place to sleep and prepare for the day.

8 years ago, I stayed in this hotel during my visit to Yogya and it was a pleasant experience for me. During my last visit (April 2017), I don't really have a nice experience here. Building is quite old without any renovation for the room. The paint is dull and in some place are peeled off. The toilet itself is leaked, so the floor is always wet and slippery. I choose to stay here only because it's near to Jalan Malioboro and the Malioboro Mall.

nov20(sun)-23/2016 . Rm 402(queen bed)
From airport to hotel about 20-30 mins for Idr 75,000 . Taxi counter on the right b4 exiting airport lobby is recommended .Many unregistered taxi drivers waiting once you step out of the airport ..charging around 100,000 Idr or more. Hotel registration is smooth . Got Room 402 is newly renovated ..(presently 4 flr only renovated ) .Bedroom is very good and pillow is soft Room is spacious Safe box in the room ..Breakfast fare is okay with daily Indonesian fare too. Swimming pool is small .Staff are friendly and overall service is good .Taxi recommended by hotel is reliable.
Hotel is connected to Malioboro Mall and just steps away from Jalan Marlioboro (main shopping attraction) . Minutes from Pasar Beringharjo ,Water Castle (Tamansari),Kraton Yogyakarta, and sosrowijayan(Tourist Kampong).
Sosrowijayan lots of backpackers inn and tours agency . Prices of Tours among agencies here (sosrowijayan)are almost the same .
Walk 5 mins to best rate money changer (Mulia Money changer ) before entry to Hotel Inna Garuda. * Better to change here instead in Singapore.
Minutes to varieties of Indonesia food (along jalan malioboro) and the food and drinks is very cheap compare to other cities of Indonesian.
Cheap Transport ..becak (10000 ,25,000 (SGP $1 -2.50CTS) and An- Dong (horse carriage about idr 50,000 -80,000)for trip around the jogya central.Minutes to massage shop which is relatively cheap here (less than Idr 90,000 for 1hr foot massage).
Take note Nov and Dec raining season .. Rain usually around 2 pm- 3 pm on wards .So better to start your day in the early morning .
Room tips -- get the 4 flr rooms cause the rooms have just be renovated recently. Room 302,402 ,502 602 702 is opp the lift .

Hotel staff could not really help with any simple questions about the local area, rooms were incredibly dated with no plug/charging points at reasonable places. The drain smelt in our room for the three days we were there and the hot water was tepid, at best. This is a 2*, not 3 and that would be generous. The rooms are clean, which is a plus, and the downstairs lobby area is nice. WiFi isslow to say the least (600 bytes/s) but if all you want is no frils/put your head down, it still seems a bit pricey (£35 a night).
