  The building itself is a dark looking block with some 80's design elements surrounded by a big security wall. Entrance for regular visa applications is at the main road the second door. It opens at 9 AM.
  I had a question and was courteously served by one lady of the consulate staff, even though I got in at almost closing time for party traffic which is 1 PM.
  Of course now, not to forget, Russia is a big country so I personally think that service is far more personal and friendly than for example at the US embassy - but then again - I come from an European country which stands neutral so I don't have any hassle with either one.
  Well, today I will need to visit them again for an actual business visa application but it is still a bit too early therefore I wait at McCafe just opposite the main road. I will see how efficient and by the book they actually are. Knock on wood because I really don't want to waste time going back and forth multiple times.
  Oh, and I forgot to.mention something important - parking space is very limited for cars at the surrounding of the embassy - even in the early morning so be prepared and the main road in front is kind of in perpetual massive traffic jam during the day. So better, to save some nerves and if you have the chance come with taxi or Grab Car/Über or motorcycle.
