So good this is actually my third time came here since world war II, nothing's changed. Went crazy over the breakfast set, coffee was good stuff, killed it. Service was great as always, responsive staff, clerks, waiters, butchers, and cooks. Had to satisfy my cosmic entity, stayed for a long time, so good.

I stayed in room 720 and this review were solely based on my one night stay at the date of review submission. I had terrible experience with this hotel. Lack of their sound proofing and proper air conditioning system has caused sleeping difficulties. Why soundproofing is highly important? Because this hotel located in the middle of city centre and you might find loud vehicle exhaust at midnight and getting worse during weekend. They remain use a single layer of glass without proper insulation and their soundproof drapes doesn't work either. Second, the air-conditioning system needs to be overhauled. I left the thermostat gauge below 10 degree Celsius and the room temperature remain high during the night.

In the contrary, their food is properly delicious. As a foodie myself, they had proper breakfast menu and made-to-order menu. The crews are splendid, kind, and always listen. They have proper tv channel albeit many of them are duplicates. They also have one of the best wifi so far.

Old hotel but not creepy. It's clean, neat, and the furniture is still decent including the bathroom. I had Twin Superior with a bathub in it.

Very nice breakfast.

The swimming pool and gym are standard. There's a sauna. They're all included in the package.

Nice and green hotel. Great breakfast menu. And friendly staff. When I stay here, there’s local attraction of ‘Karawitan’, a Javanese Art performance. Lovely stay at Hotel Elmi.

Strategic location. Mid town.

Elmi Hotel's Restaurant is my number 1 favourite place in Surabaya to eat, relax, hangout, and kills time (IT OPENS 24/7/365). It is a well-established restaurant that has a niche feeling for the place AND THE PRICE IS SO CHEAP. Most of the staffs have been working in the place for more than 15 years, it just shows you how great their service is. They offer a smoking and non-smoking area with AIR-CON.

Food wise, I think they have THE BEST Indonesian Food Selection in the town. I have tried hundreds of their menus, and 99% they never fail me. Some big name restaurant's specialities in Surabaya are outclassed by Elmi's taste, for real. Try their "Sop Buntut Goreng", "Soto Ayam", "Rawon Daging", "Kikil", and the legendary "Nasi Goreng". Nevertheless, they also offers adequate selection of western food and chinese food.

Recommended place to stay. The room is old fashion but clean. Has a bathtube. Big swimming pool in 2nd floor. There is children swimming pool also. Some area in this hotel were under renovation. So noisy. I have to wait a quit long time for check in. May be I came in the busy hour. Near with Hoki fruits store. The access is one way road, so don't be missed.
