This is old Balinese style hotel. Large pull and nice rooms. The hotel garden territory more beautiful than royal palace from my opinion. The bathrooms should better reconstruct. We saw six more hotels here in Ubud that expensive but same level of comfort with smaller pull. I like this place. We stay here for three nights.

The hotel rate is cheap. The staff with no uniform are very not friendly. The room is fine, old building not not so clean. Overall, for the price, its okay. But better to stay other hotels and pay only a bit more and have much better facilities and good service. FYI: the pool cant be used.

Fantastic if you like wild bat poo everywhere, the outdoor space was unusable. Inside was very run down and it's far away from the centre of town. Spend an extra $15 per night and get something clean and in town.

I'm giving this place 1 star. They were irresponsive to any of the queries and emails I sent and ended up charging my card even though I had cancelled well in advance. Make sure you reach them before booking as the communication was not a pleasant experience for me.

We had stayed in the Dewa Bharata bungalows in Candidasa in 2014, so we thought we would try them in Ubud (Penestanan). Very similar, good room for the price, big pool for cooling off, and cold beer in the fridge. No restaurant, but there are so many to choose from over the road that it didn't matter. A good, low budget choice where value exceeds the price.

We've stayed there 2 times already because we like this place. Although it is a 20-25min walk to the centre of Ubud there are a lot of restaurants and warungs around. Pool is great. Staff is really friendly and helpful, they also help you organize transport and daytours, cooking classes etc.. for breakfast you can choose between scrambled eggs, banana pancake and a couple of other things. Additionally you get a small fruit platter and tea and coffee. We could print our boarding passes at their computer, that was also very convenient. The room we had was nice, air conditioning working fine. Keep in mind that this is not a luxury accommodation but it is really awesome value for money!
