The building might be old but the spacious room with thick carpet made me feel fresh after spend night here. Hot tube can help to refresh the body as well.

Variety of the breakfast was quite good.

This is the best Hotel i stayed at in Indonesia, the room was perfect and the food was excellent. My family got the chance to meet the owner on the night we checked in, he was very nice, this was 8 years ago, staffs were great, I would stay here the next time I visit. I’m from Los Angeles and my grand parents lived next door here when they were alive, you will see a lot of oil men in town staying here from around the globe. Amazing place!!! Kudos to the owners!!!

Rooms are good with plenty of space, hot water is fine, bathtubs are available in standard rooms. The standard rooms with pool view also have a balcony. The water was a little yellow but I used it for tea and coffee for several days with no ill effects.

There are several choices for dining and breakfast is okay, just a little repetitive. The menu in the ground floor cafe is quite okay and the food was tasty.

The pool is good with a couple of shady trees helping limit sunburn while the water is still warm enough, even after a heavy morning storm. Behind the pool is a health club and spa which is also popular.

Staff are very friendly and helpful in all areas.

A classic hotel with rustic old world charms. The service level is commendable. You will find the staffs to be polite (without being stiff or rigid), warm and helpful. It's also a nice choice if you're the type of travelers who prefer in-hotel dining. Their 4 different restaurants offer international, Chinese, Japanese and seafood cuisines, and all serves great food. Don't forget to try their signature Mantau (served with dried chili beef stew).

I stay in blue sky hotel balikpapan for 3 days. Such a perfect hotel to stay, get rest, and relax. I get a warm welcome from all the staff at the hotel. Especially thanks to Mr. Hengky for all the arrangement and hospitality during my stay. The room was clean and tidy, not to forget.. comfortable bed and nice balcony view. Will be back to stay again next time for sure :)

Still clinging to its past glory, but they still give excellent services but some interiors and exteriors need to be rejuvenated. BEST MANTAU IN BALIKPAPAN. To eat famous "menjangan" meat you have to make a reservation before.

I liked the hotel and the staff. What I dislike is the fact that some rooms are sandwiched between two mosques that start blaring their chanting from 3:30 am. It is not just the call for prayer, but the whole 30 or so minutes of chanting that does not exist in the Middle East! So choose your room carefully 😊.

Best place to stay, best food and service.
Don't miss the kalimantan crab, mantau and chinese foods in golden palace. They're really good. The garden restaurant is open 24 hours and there are 4 restaurants in total. Also, the spa services (kalimantan massage) is really good.

Unforgettable deer meat in its restaurant.

The rooms are a bit old but pretty clean and organized. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The location is very close to Total, Pertamina office, and local market you can enjoy.

Cannot get Payment Receipt. For those who want to book via 3rd party agent (Agoda, traveloka, etc), doesn't bother to book this hotel. I have experience when i book via agoda, after checkout i request the payment receipt but the staff hotel doesn't give it. Right now i can't reimburse the payment to office

We arrived late night at 1 am, the check in process was fast. The staff was helpful to arrange the airport shuttle for us. The room condition was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There's a small balcony for smokers. The breakfast was very awesome. It was an International class breakfast, complete from starters to dessert complete with fruits and eggs corner. We surely will choose this hotel again when we stay at Balikpapan.
