I had a pleasant stay with Alaya resorts, their staff were so polite, professional and always helped us with a smile in their face,The rooms were good.cozy and tidy. It was located straight on Jalan Hanoman road which made it easier for us to commute to and fro. Great Service. Thank You so much.

Absolutely amazing resort situated in Ubud, Bali. Alaya resort is right on the door step of a very culturally rich community.

The Resort has beautiful views at first glance. The resort is surrounded by greenery and one can take a walk along the paths through the rice fields at Alaya. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are impeccable and the pool area is really great.

The breakfasts are amazing and afternoon tea is delightful. Be sure to get a massage at the award winning spa. It is truly an amazing, tranquil experience like no other.

There is a Coco Supermarket a couple of meters away which not only stocks food but everyday necessities as well. There are many great local businesses in the area and the resort is situated close to the monkey forest.

Be sure to book a tour for the white river rafting. Be prepared to walk quite the distance on this adventure.

Truly a remarkable place to stay and awesome experience.

    Absolutely stunning!

Right on the doorstep of a great balinese community. Really awesome local businesses. Close to the monkey forest and right next to a super market.

The resort itself sports beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a tranquil atmosphere. Take a walk on the path through the rice field at the resort and enjoy afternoon tea with traditional rice treats.

The best part is the award winning spa. The rooms were fit for a royalty. From the massages and floral and herbal baths to the calming tea after the treatment. It was exceptional!

Dear zero wasters, please read this review.

Everything was wonderful here. The staff, the service, the surrounding environment. Most importantly, Alaya cares for the environment, although I'm not sure I agree with taking up a relatively big space to build a "sanctuary" in rooms. Could use the space for something more productive.

As an aspiring zero waster, Alaya makes it so easy. Although toiletries are provided in plastic containers, they're not the kind you can take away (unless you really want to). Tags are made from wood pieces. Room sandals are woven from possibly attap grass. Bins are metal and not lined with plastic. They do provide amenity kits that are of one time use nature but you can easily not use them. The laundry bag is made of canvas. It's heartwarming to see a corporation take care of the environment in little ways. Yes, big things are important but all these little things count too.

Also, papaya and watermelon welcome drink with cold towel was a great relief from the hot weather. Can't compliment this place enough.

Alaya's located in walking distance from the Scared Monkey Forest and is a quick taxi ride from the Ubud palace and traditional market. The rooms are beautiful and spacious but it's the staff that really make the experience. The entire staff was warm welcoming my stay. I highly recommend going to the Dala Spa and see Suryani. I had my best spa experience ever with her!

We spent roughly 4 years ago a few days in Alaya and during this years Ubud holiday we crashed by to have a coffee and some food at the hotel restaurant. No drop in service, cleanness and quality. Next vacation we definitely stay here again!

Nice resort. Quite though it's in the heart of Ubud. Monkey forest is in walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants close by.

This is a solid hotel choice in Ubud. I took off a star for little things: 1) in all the time I spent around the pool, the pool waiter never came around to offer a drink, 2) too many power cuts (some nights 4 or 5 brief cuts) for 30 seconds or so but its long enough to lose your WiFi connection and/or TV signal (super annoying), 3) good laundry service but no laundry bag in the room [I just left it in a big pile on the bed). Real fast food was ample, but fairly bland.

The bath products are FANTASTIC; especially the patchouli hand soap.

And it’s Bali, so people were very friendly. Manisan was great (crispy duck!).

Rooms are gud. Located in close proximity to shops n restaurants. The buffet foods is very limited choice unlike any other resorts. U have choice of just 4 course menu. If you want more food, they tell it’s chargeable, which is a very disappointing breakfast. Rooms are big n spacious.

What an amazing place! Located close to a lot of Ubud attractions and with their own rice paddy to walk through. We only stayed one night but wish it had been more. The rooms and showers are large, well maintained and very tidy. The restaurant is amazing and the staff are all very friendly. We will definitely return to this resort when we next visit Ubud.

We had a great stay here, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfy. The only thing is the view from our room was not quite what we expected. And pool was rather small and hope they install more lighting for the foot path in the garden.Breakfast was ala carte and very nice although I personally thoughy the portion each day was not quite consistent. Overall, we still enjoyed the hotel very much.

Fantastic! Staff is super friendly and attentive, surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, our room was impeccable. Delicious coffee and food too. A bit pricey but it’s really another level. Suitable for couples and quiet people; not for families or young crowds.

Very nice and pleasant stay. Rooms are great, big and spacious. I might find it too big. Might need more lighting in the room and surrounding premises. It gets dark when it’s dusk. Staff are extremely polite and impeccable in service. This is a big thumbs up. Guess it’s part of their training. They will come over twice a day, morning and evening for a quick housekeeping and to ensure your room is in good condition. Almost all are ever warm and willing to help. This place provides afternoon tea time which is a bonus.

Very nice overall impression during our stay. Rooms were clean and nice (although it had small gaps under the balcony door which let bugs come inside). Staff and facilities were exellent. Tried a 2hr spa treatment and we were very pleased with it.

The rooms are beautifully designed and some come with a large bathtub which was a great addition. Service here was always impeccable and all staff were courteous and friendly. Maintenance on the other hand is an issue - rooms and facilities could use better and more thorough checks before guests check in.

Amazing, 5 star location! Shame about the management that were only interested in selling you activities that the hotel provided and got argumentative when we asked to use an outside provider. The have a lot to learn about luxury service and it put a downer on our stay.

We wish we would have stayed longer in this beautiful resort, staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. We were welcomed by the counter staff and any time we had a question they were ready to help. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. We were very impressed with the food as we ate both breakfast and dinner, the staff were very personal and friendly and we were welcomed with a smile every time. The afternoon tea is a lovely experience. Thank you for making our holiday memorable.

I was disappointed with the Alaya.
The ground staff were lovely but the staff in the restaurant were not very adaptable. Breakfast included with the room booking was a set menu and there was no flexibility not to mention not very well presented or cooked. It felt like the culture was not great for the staff and it was a bit slapped together rather than caring about what they were cooking.
They could have arranged my transfer back to the airport but it was double the price to outside the hotel at a registered company with the exact same car.

I spent two nights at Alaya and felt so happy, comfortable and well looked after the entire time. The staff are made up of smart, kind, helpful and gracious people all looking to make every request as smooth as possible. Could not have asked for a better team of staff.

My only negative is that my room, which was on the ground floor was on the path to the restaurant and all throughout the morning and afternoon people walked by my room while I was relaxing and surely they could easily see inside! I think there should be a more private walkway to restaurant that doesn't allow people to see into rooms.

Staying at Alaya Resort was the highlight of our trip to Bali. The room was fantastic with a comfortable bed and relaxing deep bath. The pool area was nice and relaxing and the breakfast was tasty.
We ordered from the Restaurant in our first night and the steak was cooked perfect.
Could not fault the staff service, so nice and friendly. We would defiantly make this our top pick on our next trip.

The moment we stepped in; and were greeted at the desk with smiles and laughter was to set the tone for our stay at Alaya. The staff were a pleasure to speak to and could not do enough to assist you in any way.
The staff were genuinely happy to work there and the pride was easy to see on their faces.
As good as the staff were; they new when to approach you and did not get in your face at all. The training the staff were given from the gardener to the concierge was seamless in their roles.
I highly recommend the Alaya Resort Ubud for a business stay and presentation. For the family or couple this Resort has it all and if they don't they will arrange it.
The rooms were very comfortable and not over the top and yet they had all that was necessary, and the bed was very comfortable and easy to dose off on. The rooms were catered for well and most of your time would be spent outside using the facilities or visiting the many attractions.

Everything from check-in to check-out was just perfect. Specially good was that in room dining prices were reasonable. All the staff was really friendly. In breakfast there was no problem to modify the menu according to the customer wishes. We will visit this hotel again if we travel to Bali again.
