Nice, family friendly place to stay for few days in Ubud. The meals in restaurant was tasty but a bit pricey when I compare with others in Ubud.

My boyfriend choose this villa on agoda, we stay here 2 days and extend for one more day it just because I'm so surprised by the view, beautiful villa room, staff were so friendly, service brilliant, breakfast was good, this resort has 2 pool, to be honest I'm sad have to leave this resort.

Bathrooms were in a very poor state with mildew on walls, wasn't looking like it was being maintained edfeciently. Breakfast was also quite drab, nor much variety.

Lovely room with view on the garden. Very quietly located of main street. Big and clean room with average bathroom. Breakfast of the menu, which is good but the same every day. Staff very nice and accommodating. 5-10 minites walk too Monkey forest and 20-30 minutes walk to Ubud market. We rented a scooter at the hotel (normal price) for two days to explore the area surrounding Ubud.

I had booked another resort which was not what I had expected and ended up booking into the Agung Raka in Ubud instead. I am sooooo very glad that I did. Beautiful setting, private and clean. Friendly staff and so very helpful. I was travelling alone and not once did I feel unsafe. Would definitely stay there again.

I have kind of mixed feelings about Agung Raka. It is located in a nice environment, surrounded by rice paddies. You have two pools and can enjoy quiet escape from busy Ubud. However, there are a few things which were simply disappointing:
- I stayed in the hotel room (not villa, which is most probably the best choice) and first disappointment was that the room is not really authentic. I stayed in Bali in resorts and smaller home stays and always loved the Indonesian furniture and that authentic feeling. Do not expect sth like that here. They used cheep looking materials and furniture.
- I also got the room with the view to the wall which is really not nice. Considering they were not in high season, I could have imagined getting a better room with a view to the garden. Anyway, sb has to be unlucky. If you are, expect that the view is really bad, plus you are going to hear noise from air conditions in the opposite building.
- One of the worst things (and this is why a villa is definitely better option in Agung Raka) is that the door in the hotel room is not going down the floor - there is quite a gap. So not only you hear people walking in the corridor, but you especially hear Agung staff constantly talking to walkie talkie which everybody is using in the resort. They start cleaning the rooms quite early, so do not be surprised, they just wake you up and talk and talk and talk. I was not able to have a proper rest.
- Once they cleaned my room, they took my towels (which I did not request to have changed btw) and they did not place new ones. I did not notice, started to have a shower and then I was standing there without towel. Sorted it out, but this should not happen in such resort.
- And last, I did not find quite fair they added 3 % to my bill because of card payment. This is normal practice on Bali, but from my experience in rather smaller venues and hotels. I really do not understand why they request this in such a big resort where prices are obviously much higher. Plus you are not expecting it because it is not written anywhere in the reception (nor in the reservation confirmation). They just tell you before you pay. Since ATMs around frequently do not work or they have lower limit for withdrawals than you need, you have no other choice than pay by card. That is shame guys - just add a notice (visible one) to the reception, so that is clear when you check in or instruct your receptionists to tell this to the guests, so that we can prepare.
Nice villas, nice pools, overall nice stuff, appreciated the shuttle because it is not so centrally located, nice food, beautiful garden, but as I said, too many ‘gaps’ which made my stay rather uncomfortable.response / report this review -

Tillbringade 4 nätter här, mycket vacker och trivsam miljö. Maten i restaurangen är helt okej priserna är dock höga. Gångavstånd till butiker, ca 5min.
Två fina pooler vilket är ett måste om man bor Umpang. Rena och stillsamma här håller folk sig för sig själva som vi upplevde det då vi var där. Massor av egna små risodlingar.
Massagen är som vanligt på hotell lam/dålig.
Hyr 125a åk upptäcksfärd för att se tempel och risterasser.

Nice, reasonably priced hotel. We had issues with our check-in, the room wasn't ready and we ended up waiting about 2 hours.
Despite that, our stay was pleasant and the breakfast buffet was tasty.

Very big place. 2 nice pools. Situated between rice fields with some stunning views. The garden view bungalows are a bit old but very charming. Staff seems very friendly. Bring your own handsoap, as none is provided.

Em relacao ao resort, o quarto é excelente, paisagismo de deixar muitos resort do Brasil no chinelo. Piscina com borda infinita. E um silêncio de acordo com clima de Ubud. Distante das ruas. Nao escuta nada. Excelente para descansar

日本語対応もよくタクシーの手配、レンタルバイクの手配など値段も適正で安心できます。朝食は部屋か併設されたパン屋さんの２階を選択できフレンチトーストが個人的にはおすすめ☆
