My first coffee shop experience in Pest in January 14. It wasn't until 2017 that I discovered the best tuna sandwich I've ever eaten. The location has such character and serenity. A must stop if you like a traditional afternoon tea

Definitely one of the top 6 Cafe's in Budapest. I highly recommend it as they have been operating since 1884.

A touristy place, good food but not excellent, classic decor but doesn't feel authentic, good service, coffee ok.

The restaurant is beautiful. Classic design, really fair prices, the main dishes were jist ok but the Desserts were amazing. Really good service.

One of my favorite places in Budapest. You can try the annual cake of the country. Reccommending the 2016 one, sweet deliciousness

Great selection of cakes, historic if a bit kitsch feel, unispired staff. Given a choice, I would prefer having coffee a couple blocks south next to the Opera.

Lovely old world atmosphere and tasty pastries. Here you can combine a cup of coffee with a visit to the opera house that is located on the other side of the Andrássy avenue.

Decent coffee and a huge range of cakes. The building is beautiful as well.

High walls, warm light and old-style furniture make for a nice ambience, but then the framed TV flashing through ads from the menu every 3 seconds really spoils the whole thing. Could have been a better use of the admittedly beautiful interiors.

If you're looking for a beautiful historic cafe near the Opera, with high ceilings and grand chandeliers, this is a good option.

Across the road from the Opera on Boulevard Andrassy, it is located in probably the most prestigious 100 metre stretch of the city.

The cakes are of a good quality and include such classics as Dobos and Sacher.

Of course, it is a bit expensive by Hungarian standards, but that can be expected. On the downside, the service can be a bit rough around the edges. One lady in particular, who was not in uniform, was quite noisy.

It may not be the best grand cafe in Budapest but it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Nice decor and atmosphere despite questionable music selection. Opposite the Opera and on same street as LV and Gucci etc so not surprised about higher prices. Staff were friendly. Coffee good but made mistake of ordering the club sandwich which was poor.

Three stars just for the location. Prices are quite high, waiters are not informed and customer-friendly (I asked the difference between Cocoa and Hot Chocolate and the waitress replied "it's the same" why put different names on the menu, then!). The Cocoa was just milk and cocoa, and tasted like Nesquik latte. Bad music ruins the atmosphere and there is no desserts and cake menu. Otherwise, the location is quite superb. It deserves better customer care.
