We tried this ace accidently with my girlfriend: we were juat amazed, like in a special museum. the photos, the paintings on the walls. The service was excellent, food was 5/5 - opinion as a hungarian! :) Good price/value ratio. Recommended!

We ate here twice during our 6 day stay in Eger. One of the best restaurants in the city. Very good food and good service. I'd highly recommend dinner here.

The best restaurant and hotel in Eger with an exceptionally nice staff. If you visit the city you must eat at least one time here even if you choose an another hotel to sleep. I've been here many times and this restaurant is actually the perfect place in the city with a great view, very good meal, a very good service and the exceptional staff.

The accommodation was perfect, best location, and confy room, very helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was ok, csulok was brilliant but the steak was like a shoesole. Some of the waitors were friendly and helpful, but some were grumpy.

Could not ask for a better hotel experience. The staff was exceptionally warm and inviting, and we had no trouble checking in with out very scant Hungarian. Our room, which was one of the ones across the street, was well appointed and spotless. The view of the castle from the window was serious storybook material. We had dessert and late night drinks at the restaurant and then the breakfast the next morning -- all were fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit here.

4.5 Stars..
Great food and wines.. Great ambience, views and setting. The best smoked trout I've ever tasted.
Service? Room for improvement..
Tip: if you're dining late in the evening, make sure you order dessert with your main, to avoid the "sorry, chef's closed the kitchen" response we received here, and at other Hungarian restaurants. To their credit they did deliver dessert when we protested.
