  Salona Roman Ruins is a vast area with the remains of the old city largely intact. Past desicrations are obvious with the tombs having been robbed.
  The main feature is the church at the entrance, and Amphitheatre, which requires a 1 klm walk to the far side of the site.

  Almost impossible to find, google maps got us here eventually!! There are signs on the main road but then they stop before the turn down a small road. Well worth the visit and a great break away from the tourist bustle of Split town

  Finding the place was very difficult.
  When we where there, we were charge entrance for the park and the little museum at the park entrance.
  When I wanted to see the museum the man in charge said there was no museum (he was to lazy to open the little museum) and then he said that the ticket was valid for the big museum in the town Split. This wasn't true
