Stayed in the annex - Villa Dobric. It was clean, spacious, and close to everything. Staff was extremely accommodating and hospitable - greeted me by my name at breakfast every morning.

A lovely boutique hotel with excellent service. Conveniently located within Diocletian's Palace, yet surprisingly quiet at night. Welcomed with local chocolates and bottled water. Ample breakfast selections were included and the staff was very accommodating and ensured that we had transport to the airport, offered to take our bags to the taxi stand at 5am, packed us to go meals for travel, and made us espresso before departing. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the annex to the main hotel. We trusted SLH and assumed that even the annex would be up to standard unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The annex has middle class hotel rooms , even the deluxe at an high price. I hope that this is not the new trend for SLH

Beware the annex: loud music till 3 am every night will keep you up, and the easy transportation back to the palace that they promise you at check in is rarely and grudgingly supplied.

Lovely hotel among the "ruins" of the old city in Split, inside the walls of Dioceltian's Palace. Turn left out of the reception and you're walking into the peristyle - the location is unbeatable. Very helpful staff too, ready to help with local recommendations and print outs of local transport and tourist info. We only had breakfast in the hotel, but the ready buffet had varied options and a small a la carte was also on offer. Would definitely recommend.
