Nice and quaint place. Very conveniently located within the city centre and has good access to the main attractions of the city (I.e. palace etc.) Be warned that it is only accessible by foot but the surrounding area makes it an attractive thing.

This is the most terrible hotel I ever was. The room was small the parking was too much expensive our room window with a view to the resterant And the price for one night was very expensive. My advise - a room in airbnb is better

I stayed here with my son in 2007, appreciating the affordable, clean accommodation in the heart of Diocletian's palace. First morning, I woke to the sound of a men's chorus singing in the Vestibule, a large, circular open-air structure from AD 300 or so. Amazing. I practically ran to the site, following my ears. We stayed here a week, slept well, lived comfortably. Split is such an amazing site. We bought bicycles and took ferries to neighbouring islands, explored the ancient towns in the hills and along the coasts. A very memorable time.

In the central of the city close to the harbor about 2 km away from the beach and if you like to see split's Roman Empire the hotel is in the center of it the hotel people are very nice the rooms where good it gave a little bit of luxury felling

We couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay at in Split for our honeymoon. The hotel is inside Diocletian's Palace! It really is surreal. We basically had the entire hotel to ourselves since we went in off season and they treated us like a king and queen. Every morning they would ask what we wanted for breakfast and then made it for us, just for us an entire spread! They have two cappucino machines that you have access to 24/7 which was perfect for grabbing to go in the mornings. The staff was extremely friendly. I believe his name was Slobodan, he helped us find our way around and what places would be worth our time. He was an absolute gem. Housekeeping was great, we would just tell them when we would be leaving so they could clean and they would leave us extra towels. There always was a blonde lady (forgot her name) but she was just the nicest. She also helped with recommendations, putting out pamphlets, and was wonderful to chat with in the mornings. Now onto our room. The bed was so comfortable that we actually are buying the same pillows and pillow top mattress for our home. Amazing when you can actually sleep at a hotel. Our room had a jacuzzi bathtub that I must have used twice a day (Heavenly). If you are looking for an upscale, boutique hotel with darling rooms and staff this is definitely where you want to stay. Also, it's a few hundred feet from the Riva, bus station, Jadrolinija, and all the great restaurants.

-Illusion of luxury when in reality hotel provides none of basic needs
-No shower curtain
-Asked for an extra bed- took over 3 hours and multiple calls and visits downstairs
When set up bed finally no blankets
Again go downstairs by this time midnight--reception desk not there for 15 mins
Finally shows up says not his responsibility
Slept without a blanket
-Lobby had ants and flys all over
-No working phone in ANY of the rooms
(No wake up calls, no room service no service at all!)
-Kitchen people are run by different manager so disregard hotel guests (snobby and dismissive)
-Wifi awful

The hotel is in the old city center. Only 10 rooms in three floors. Jacuzzi in the roof with lounge bar.
The breakfast buffet doesn't have many options.
The bathroom doors are glass made, and completely transparent, so this hotel is perfect for couples with good trust in each other, not for groups of friends.response / report this review
