Absolutely the best in every way!
So HAPPY we landed here, but sorry it's only for one night.
Clean, quiet, friendly, reasonably priced and close to everything.
Steps away from boat terminal, waterfront promenade, shops, restaurants, open air market and night life.

Stayed here for 2 nights in winter and I can only praise this lovely small hotel. Excellent position, newly renovated old house, all the furniture and room equipment is new and of very good quality. My room window looked directly onto the little town square with monument of Marko Marulic and further to the sea. Will always go back there when visiting Split.

Very nice place, perfectly located. The studio room even have a kitchen. Super nice, one tiny minus for no space to sit down and eat.

My wife and I stayed for a week at B&B Kastel 1700 Split for our five-year anniversary and had a great stay. The rooms are a bit small, but the location is great - right in Diocletian's palace and just a one minute walk from the beautiful riva promenade. There are countless restaurants, bakeries, shops, and bars just outside the hotel and its very close to the bus parking where we caught our tours of the area. The rooms are quite affordable given the prime location, but nothing luxurious. Although there were several bars and clubs right outside our room, once we closed the window, we couldn't hear the noise and had no trouble sleeping. Other guests walking up the stairs made more noise than all the drunk people outside. Since there were a lot of places just outside the room, we didn't get breakfast from the hotel initially. We also had them arrange a taxi to the airport on departure, which was very convenient since we had an early flight. Over the week that we stayed, we only had one issue and it was promptly corrected by the front desk. One evening, we arrived back late and tried to take showers, but there was no hot water. Thinking maybe other guests had used it up, we went to bed and tried again in the morning. Still no hot water. So we talked to the front desk and they let us take showers in an unoccupied room that had hot water while they looked into it. When we got back to the hotel later in the day, the front desk informed us that the water heater had gone out, but that they had replaced it. To compensate for our troubles (which really wasn't much trouble at all), they gave us free breakfast for a couple mornings and we had plenty of hot water for the rest of our stay. I appreciated them addressing our issue quickly and in a friendly manner. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again if in Split.

if your looking for the Central Palace Rooms, there is no sign! its the B&B Kastel!!!!!!
Other than that, the room itself isn't much, but the views and location are perfect!response / report this review
