I loved my time in Sambo Creek. This is sadly an often overlooked destonation, rich in Garifuna culture and overflowing with happy, lovely and accommodating people. I had a great time both times I visited. I love having the beaches and mountains in the same setting. I'm pleasantly haunted by the sound of those tribal drums. In my dreams, I am a Punta Queen.

It really good her, with nice sea food
Good food, you can take a swim or rent a canoe. The dancers are a hoot. Good place to escape for a few hours. You should definitely go there
Fun time
Unfortunately a bad and expensive accomodation. 20 USD per night in a double where ant streets pass underneath the bed and a cockroache guards the bathroom. The cold shower was more like dripping water from a tap. The bed was not made upon arrival and there was no blanket available. Although there was no staff upon arrival and only occasionally present, he was very nice and helpful.
The restaurant was closed during our stay.
