Thanks Gary & team for accommodating us on our cruise stop in Roatan, The pickup on Thanksgiving morning at the cruise terminal was prompt and the check-in at the shop was quick. In spite of the iffy weather that morning, the shop was still able to take us on 2 nice dives on the other side of the island - Mary's Place and the Prince Albert Wreck. They got us back to the ship with plenty of time to share.

I did 17 dives with them in Dec 2017 with Roatan Divd Center. They were extremely professional and we had a chance to do some amazing diving. When I went they did not have overcrowded boats, so the dive masters could show me some amazing wildlife! Highly recommended!

I had the fortunate work with Gary Miller for my IDC. I participated in his Pre-IDC Program and followed up with my MSDT Prep. Gary is a true coach when it comes to his training. He has high expectations and those expectations have yielded him strong results. My research into his IDC program and through recommendations from other instructors in Roatan, whom I had completed my DM internship with, drove me to seek out Gary when I decided to further my PADI Pro training. As with any training I have done (I am a high school teacher and coach), you get out of it what you put into it. I wanted a teacher who insisted in a strong work ethic, focused on safety, encouraged the best out his students and had the ability to prepare me for any teaching situation I may encounter while instructing new divers. I found that with Gary and his program. When I completed my Pre-IDC and IDC, the PADI IE Exam was one of the easiest assessments I had taken during my 20 year teaching career. I attribute that to the preparation I received from Gary and his program. I also found that during the program, some students in our course signed up because they felt it was going to be easy and felt that it would be cool to be a scuba instructor. Those individual were not prepared nor willing to do the WORK that was required in order to be a dive profession who will be charged with the safety and well being of students. I gained even more respect for Gary because he would not let his standards drop in order to accommodate those students who did not take the initiative to give their best. Since returning to be an instructor in Virginia, I have worked with 100's of students and my preparation through my IDC and IE has allowed me to continue to grow as an instructor.

If you are seeking an experience that will challenge and reward you, please consider working with Gary Miller and his staff. It may be hard, but it is worth it. I still call on Gary for advice or if I have questions. He is quick to reply and provide support and feedback when needed.

I did my Open Water course with Guillermo Pastor and with the assitance of Maria Miller (owner of the shop) My experienced was very educational and informational. I had the privilege and opportunity to learned about the world of diving and was able to witness how passionate the people are about diving and keeping the reef healthy. The instructors are very nice people and are willing to help anyone who's ready to reach the next level in diving. I look forward to make a comeback in march 2018 to continue the fun adventure in Roatan and with the help of Dive Center Shop.

Did my IDC with them. Hard work, big challenge! At the end, it pay well! The IE was easy! I had great support in the shop to make my way around and learn. Diving was great, sites are amazing and always in small, private group. I miss that place! I will go back!

I absolutely loved my time at RDC. Gary and Mary treated me like family and they were so helpful during my 3 months of Divemaster training/interning. They hold their staff to a high standard which allowed me to get exceptional training that I am very pleased with.

Deceiving divemaster internship in RDC in July-August 2017.

Not a good experience. Not a good environment to learn and train.

One of the worst places you could attend to undertake training. The owners and managers are a married couple who appear to operate on the basis of abusing their trainees. If you want to be shouted at and abused, neglected , ignored, brought to tears and treated like you are just a cash cow, then go here. Your training will be poorly organised, constantly subject to change and the absolute anthithitis of a positive learning environment. Staff and instructors are constantly changing because of the poorly way they are treated. PADI should review this establishment. They are a disgrace and should not be allowed to operate under the PADI name. This dive shop is situated at the far end of West End
Avoid them at all costs. Warn anyone considering training on Roatan. Advise them to go elsewhere. There are many top class dive shops on Roatan.
