Beyond Fabulous Experience.
We dove with Roatan Divers for two weeks in early May, and from moment one the entire staff (including the owners) were outstanding. Professional, high safety standards and incredible people skills! Their equipment was great, their boats are incredible. All of the dive masters were spectacular, great underwater leaders, problem solvers and a whole lot of fun.
Without a doubt, the best dive company I've been with. Everything about them is fabulous.

I searched online for a shop in West End to conduct my PADI Open Water Certification, and was drawn towards Roatan Divers because of the positive reviews and informative website. The owner(s) respond to my email inquiries within an hour and with great detail, which was helpful since I was trying to put my trip together at the last min.

Upon arrival I found the facilities excellent, looking nearly new. The staff was by far the best part though! From the owners Saaya and Karl, to each and every instructor (even ones I wasn't working with), I felt welcomed and totally at ease with all my instruction. My worries about being intimidated at a dive shop being a "newbie" were totally unfounded here!

I was so happy with their service and the local diving area that I ended up extending my courses by 2 days and obtaining my Adventure Diver certificate as well! Before, between, and after the dives they really are "full service" and take care of all the equipment for you which is a nice touch.

I would unequivocally recommend Roatan Divers to anyone from a beginner to seasoned vet!

Good service, nice place and equipment used. The service of the dive instructor Alex could improve, he could be more patient and understanding. It's not nice to have a instructor that gets stressed easily

Roatan Divers-without question the most enjoyable and professional dive centre on Roatan to dive with!

I arrived as a Rescue Diver and did my Divemaster Internship and Instructors course with Roatan Divers. I could not have asked for more from the team. Everyone welcomed me in as one of their own, I was part of the team (definitely NOT delegated to carrying tanks!), worked with the best equipment and dive set-up and learned a huge amount from the instructors. Having dived with 4 other dive centres on the island it is no wonder this place has the outstanding reputation it does. I was the first instructor candidate to do their IDC with Roatan Divers as the dive centre has just started offering this course. The facilities were outstanding-brand new air-conned classroom with white boards, tv, fold away tables for EFR sessions etc. The course director Peter Hughes was extremely professional and knowledgeable with huge experience teaching the IDC. Many a laugh were had during the days of study and the course was tailored to be flexible depending on development and areas that needed more focus. When I had the presentation of certification at the end of the exams the whole gang came along to support me and then the owners Karl and Saaya held a spectacular feast for everyone at Roatan Divers-it was clear no other dive centre did this for their candidates! If you want to learn to dive on a recreational level or professional level, look no further than Roatan Divers!

What a Bummer! I was so excited to go diving again and overheard one of the instructors talking about Wreck Certification. I LOVE looking at wrecks and asked if I could join the group (last minute of course) to get my certification too! Saaya, Karl, and the group were so fantastic and welcomed me into the class with no hesitation. So after a few amazing fun dives, I got to work. Having a blast while learning the safety and precautions of penetrating a wreck. The bummer is I got sick the morning of my final dives and could not complete my cert before returning home. But Saaya and my Dive Master Russ said they would hold everything in place until I can get back early next year and would work with me to finish and complete my wreck cert. They are the best dive shop on the island, small groups, personal attention, caring attitude, education minded, extremely particular about the best equipment, and such great people that absolutely love what they do. Did I mention how much fun they are to be around??? I love those famous Saaya words "How was your dive?"I miss them already and can't wait to get back! Maybe I'll go for my Rescue cert next?

Hands down, the best decision I made on Roatan was diving with Roatan Divers (RD). The staff is very knowledgeable, professional, and fun. I did my Divemaster Training (DMT) while at RD and cannot express how much I loved it.

Saaya and Karl, thank you. You made this trip one I will never forget. I can’t wait to see you guys again in December.

Saaya and Karl (the owners and operators) personalize every DMT program. For instance, I had ear issues when I first arrived that restricted my ability to dive. To keep moving forward with the training, Saaya and Karl had me complete all my theory and “dry work” until my ears cleared up. I finished my coarse work quickly and still could not dive; so instead of having me sit around, Karl taught me about the other aspects of the dive shop. These aspects ranged from how to service regulators, how he built his Nitrox blender, how the compressor works, how to fix BCDs, etc. Saaya and Karl are eager to make your DMT experience phenomenal, so if there is something that you would like to learn that isn’t outlined on the website, just ask! Saaya and Karl were always on top of what I needed to complete for the program and scheduled according, making the experience extremely easy for me. Further, they would make the schedule and ask if it worked with me. Most of the time it was perfect, but a few times I had other commitments outside of diving and Saaya would change the schedule to fit my needs.

Natalia, Angie, Alec, and Mitch, thank you guys for teaching me and sharing your love and knowledge of the sport. See you guys in December :).

The staff is excellent. Natalia, Alec, Angie, Lauren and Mitch bring years of diverse diving experience. They have dove around the world and speak multiple languages among the 5 of them. I dove with each instructor extensively and learned from their personal styles of teaching. Each one was slightly different, but the common thread throughout all of them was their extensive knowledge of diving and the Padi organization. They were all great teachers, but what I am most thankful for is that I consider each of them friends, not just a dive instructor.

Overall my favorite thing about Roatan Divers is the balance between diving and having fun. The diving was amazing and I learned so much, but in addition, I had a great 6 weeks on the island. While I was there the Golden Buoy fundraiser was in full swing. About once a week, a dive shop would host an event to support the Golden Buoy. I had a blast synchronize swimming with RD, competing in a cornhole, beer-frisbee, and beer ladder tournament, and playing in a dodgeball tournament. Also, it was nice to grab beers after diving all day either at the shop or at Sundowners with those who wanted to join. Lastly, one of the many highlights I had was going fishing with Karl one afternoon. We brought our catch back to the dock and filleted and ate it right there.

I loved my time at RD so much I am going back in December with my family. If that isn’t a testament to how great the service, people, and experience is, then I don’t know what is.

Exceptional place to lead you on a dive. Natalia was very knowledgeable and attentive to myself and family. They took us to great spots to dive and it was extremely fun and most importantly very safe with this dive team. Staff spoke multiple languages and made it very easy for me to visit them being so far from home in the United States. I highly recommend using Roatan Divers as your only dive team in this area.

Best dive shop, not just in the West End, but ever! I had issues with buoyancy and not only did an instructor work with me one on one out of the water, but also as my depth buoyancy improved. Also got an additional certification, which the crew worked around my vacation plans even after hours, THANKS! First class owners and instructors. Out of the many choices on West End, don't be fooled by the "personal attention" you are promised. No cattle herding, short boring dives with RD ALWAYS an adventure. They were voted the best dive shop in all of the Honduras recently. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The Dive Masters and Instructors are great. Composer absolutely spotless and in perfect condition and their newest boat is absolutely awesome. If you don't drive with them while you're here, you're really missing out!

I recently completed my divemaster at Roatan Divers and i cannot stress enough what an excellent experience is was. I was made to feel like part of the team and taught about the nature of the industry rather than just to a specification. I feel like i have learned much and enjoyed every minute of it.
Guests that come, even if only for a day, are made to feel welcome and their experience is tailored to them by an experienced and friendly staff. The groups are small, the dives are long, the instructor attentive, the atmosphere friendly and reef is diverse and incredible. I made friends as well as learned a lot, in short, couldn't recommend it enough.

Very friendly staff and excellent dive masters (we did our diving with Alex). Dive equipment is in very good condition (we rented all equipment except masks). Dive prices are very fair. My wife and I have done 6 dives in Cozumel and 2 in Belize, but our dives here were our favorite by far. We are eager to return, and would definitely choose Roatan Divers.

Saaya, Carl, and their crew are top notch! They are warm, welcoming, and professional. I got my Open Water here and I am confident it was the best place to get my training. I recommend Roatan Divers for divers of all skill levels and will definitely be back!
