The grocery store at Plaza Mar is usually very well stocked with a large variety of products. They cater more to the local market so many of the products are from Honduras and Central America. Certainly a decent selection of USA products as well. Great prices on beer, wine and spirits. I think about the best on the island. And they have a good bakery on site.

Friendly little place to pick up groceries. There are shops with souvenir upstairs. The prices are about average for most of the island. Great stop on the way to the beach to pick up anything you might have missed.

A multi level shopping site. It didn't have great AC but a lot of fans. Most places are like this so plan accordingly.
Be careful of the deals. The prices are pretty good, but see if you can haggle a bit on the price. Don't be surprised if you get back to the boat and find someone got the same thing for less than you paid.
Some of the stores do seem to have the original artists there so that is a plus. Most of the mahogany is brought over from the mainland so don't think you are getting as good a price as if you were actually in Honduras. The wood items are nicely carved.
Souvenirs are the usual. Check multiple vendors before buying. I found a large difference in quality so don't buy at the very first place.
Lots of fun here and felt safe the whole time.response / report this review
