The server was great! We came here for the crab races with the kids. He made sure we had great seats. Even moving us when a better table opened up. The pizza was average but the whole fish was excellent! The fire dancers was an added bonus.

We love visiting Roatan in general, it has the best snorkeling and diving you could ask for. Walk out the door of Bananarama, swim maybe 100 yds and you are on the second largest barrier reef in the world. The staff at Bananarama are very pleasant and helpful - especially waiter Dijon and Security Officer Javier!!

Reasonably nice beachfront restaurant. Chicken and rice special and the pizza special which had sausage were good and tasty for $30. The rain dampened the spirit a bit, but the place was equipped well for it.

We loved the resort. We went scuba diving every morning for two dives! Patrick was the best dive master! It was comfortable in our hut, clean and private. The food was yummy, especially loved the western salad, it was spicy quinoa! The drinks were great and it is super affordable. Loved it all.

Had dinner at Vintage Pearl. The food (tuna steak), the service and the entertainment was excellent. It is indoors I wish they had tables outside too for those that want to enjoy the view.

Lovely relaxing and comfortable on the beach. Hammock on the deck fully equipped kitchen and onsite restaurant and bar. Great place for family and couples.

This is a great place if you wanna stop and get some food on the cheap. The food and a drink specials are very good and the entertainment at night is sometimes Very entertaining.

Laid back small resort has the right balance of throwback 90s and cash on the wall beach deck soiree mixed in. Grab a beer and your beach chair is free. Perfect to escape from the midday sun but the real deal is happy hour. 4 stars for now with an easy shot at 5 when the sun goes down and the entertainment starts. Free WiFi with purchase but only for 2 hours. Credit cards accepted!

A West Bay classic with friendly laid back staff. On Sunday night they have "crab races". Often an interesting musical act. Fun place to go with a group. Fire dancers sometimes perform here (they are amazing). Service is good. The location has dedicated security to make sure everyone feels safe (which it very much is). The food is reasonable. Part of the heart of West Bay and has more character than the bigger resort bars. Some locals go here and this gives it more of a community feeling.

My husband and I were satisfied with Bananarama. It is fairly priced for the convenient location on West Bay. Rooms at Bananarama do not have televisions, which was disappointing, especially on the days when we got too much sun and just wanted to relax in the room with the AC on and watch a bit of TV. The rooms are a good size, equipped with a seating area, bathroom and separate bedroom. The beds are stiff and the pillows are thin. After 3 nights here, my back ached from the beds. The walls are also thin. We heard our loud neighbors through the walls at night. The food at Bananarama is fantastic! We were very pleased with the food options and the food specials each day. The complimentary breakfast for hotel guests each morning was also delicious! The service in the restaurant on our first day was excellent. The servers were attentive and served us quickly. By the 4th day, the servers were much slower at getting around to serving us which became annoying. Overall, a decent stay for the price. My husband said he would stay here again. I, on the other hand, would try other hotels along the beach first.

Always a great time!
We stopped at Bananarama during our second trip to Roatan and were thrilled with the great service once again. A great place to hang out and on a beautiful part of West Bay. You can walk down the beach to a great snorkeling spot, or take a small boat just off the beach to incredible reefs teaming with wildlife.

During our visit in Sept 2017, our waiter Victor was friendly, helpful and attentive, making our afternoon at the beach very enjoyable. The kids enjoyed the chicken fingers and we enjoyed the rum punch!

Their cruise day packages are fantastic. Did their zip lining and beach package Dec 2016 and had a blast. The zip line course was about 10 stages and absolutely awesome.

PROS: LOVED this location on west bay-the beach wasn't too crowded and there wasn't too much boat activity in the water. The rooms are large and the restaurant has great food. The staff was nice and very helpful.

CONS: Beds weren't the comfiest and the rooms are a little outdated

Stayed here in their off-site condo location for a week. I loved this place. Their service and location is amazing. Any time there was an issue in the condo, they were on top of it very quickly and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Everything from before even arriving on the island to when we were leaving was fantastic. My only gripe is with their main restaurant, Thirsty Turtle. The food was really just average and the service was almost non-existent. Every single server and bartender seemed miserable, except one. Victor was great. We ate off resort most of the time just to avoid this and had much better experiences everywhere else in this regard.

We came from a Carnival ship for the day but we bought a snorkeling venture through Bananarama. They charged a $10 entry fee to use the beach and facilities but that does come with a choice of either a drink or use of beach chairs. When we setup the snorkeling package me and a friend went out. It was $35 a person and $15 if you wanted to ride in the boat. My wife decided to stay on the beach so it was only $70 ($80 total because we paid with a card). Once we got to "The Blue Channel" my friend got very nervous and decided not to snorkel. Afterwards I asked if we could be partially refunded and he said he couldn't do anything because there was only two of us snorkeling. Apparently if three of us went he could have done more to help compensate us. At the very least I would think they could give us a partial refund, a free beer or just use of the beach chairs but I guess not. As far as snorkeling goes honestly if you can rent snorkel gear on the beach or use your own your better off snorkeling about 100 yards out from shore between the rocks and the dock. It's also about 50 yards out from an inflatable floating blue and white slide. On the plus our cab driver Freddy was great :)

Best price for the location. Love this place. The staff will help you with anything you need. The hotel beach is hands down the best on the island. The rooms/huts are well kept, comfortable and priced well. Hotel has full service resturant, bar and dive shop. The hotel bar (thirsty turtle) has live reggae music on some days. The bar has a fantastic view of the beach. I highly recommend this hotel over any other one on the same beach. I've stayed here about 5 times.

Excellent dive shop. We mostly dove with Martin. The groups are small which makes it a much more enjoyable and personal experience.
